Key fob won't open central locking, checked battery that's ok, when use key to open car only driver's door will open & then alarm sounds. Checked fuses in car they are ok.
I have the same problem, but I know what it is... the key fob needs reprogramming. A dealership can do it for about £45, or you can do it yourself with a little searching in the web. Try the link to one site offering a cheaper solution.

get remote checked wires might need re soldering or replace remote with new one. Cheapest place to purchase one is at a key cutting place or lock retailer.
If the passkey is messed up, there will be a light on the dash that says security, or have a picture of a car with a lock thru it. If there is no light when the key is turned forward, then its NOT a passkey problem.
you may have a bad door switch, theres a switch on the drivers door lock, when door is unlocked with fob or key the switch is activeated to shut alarm down, the lock moves to hit switch with key or fob,so if the switch is bad it will not shut down alarm, i would start there, door panel has to be remove, then latch has to be remove to get to switch, then test with a meter see if it opens and closes the connection, hope this helps.
This does not sound like a fob fault - but a locking control module fault , either in the hardware or software of the unit. Get it checked at a Jaguar dealers. When unlocking using the key - as soon as the door is opened you should hear a chime sounding inside the car - this is a timer counting down to sounding the alarm. If you put your key in the ignition as soon as you open the door the alarm should not go off and the chime should stop. If it does not this again points to a fault in the locking controller.
hope this helps - good luck.
hi seems like water is getting inside the drivers door and getting on the alarm switch inside the door or it could just be afaulty alarm switch its the micro switch that connects to the door lock yatse210456
