Think you have a problem with one of the power fuses in the power distribution box under the bonnet ,had this before where it had blown this big fuse and it turned out that the drivers door lock was faulty ,and its all in one so its not repairable for a internal fault

Where is the central locking unit .

The did away with the central locking module. It's all built into the BCM now. That small motor is a solenoid, that's probably your problem. It only takes a moment of charge to open it.

The central locking on my ford focus has stopped working, i have changed the battery in the key fob but no luck, can you help. graham.

Obtain all keys fitted with remote control. Fasten seat belts and close all doors. Turn ignition switch from position I to position II 4 times within 6 seconds. Switch ignition OFF. Programming mode activated for 10 seconds proceed as follows: Press and hold lock, unlock or boot release button Fig. 1 [1], [2] or [3]. Wait for acoustic signal (indicates correct programming). Repeat above procedure within 10 seconds to program remaining keys. To exit programming mode: Turn ignition switch to position III or wait 10 seconds. Keys can also be programmed using diagnostic equipment.
NOTE: A maximum of 4 keys can be programmed.

Focus v reg ( Jan 2000 ) GHIA 2litre not hatchback. Trouble with central locking. all doors lock except passenger door. None of doors would lock until I disconnected Passenger door lock Cannot get lock...

Best way is to turn the key quarter turn to allow the rods to move over. The lugs tend to break when removing doors locks, so best order a couple before attempting to re-fit.
Kind regards

Central Locking does not work

You must reset your remote control in order for the lock/unlock to work properly.

To reset remote you would:
1)Insert Key in Ignition Turn to Position 1(Don't Start the Engine) for about 5 seconds
2)Turn Key Off and HOLD the LOCK button on Remote while pressing the UNLOCK 3 TIMES
3)Release both lock and unlock buttons you are holding
4)All doors should automatically unlock

And exit the door and lock with the Remote.
