1998 V70 Cross Country AWD: Sometimes the gear stick gets stuck on the parking position, the only way to get it out is to push the Overdrive Shift button at the base of the stick. Then sometimes when turning on blinkers, they don't work, neither the hazard lights. Please advice, Juan

messing with the shifter may have gave you the DSTC? message did it reset its for trac control/if you hit the 4 way flasher button but not 100% it causes the turn signals not to work,next time turn on and off the 4 way and see if it fixes the turns? / the gear shift has a update that should be done to the micro switch in the swifter or bypass it

Your info is confusing. The rear cam seal is not inside the timing belt cover, and the crank seal is at the bottom of the engine, while the cam seal is at the top.

Is there oil at the top, around the cam seal? Or just at the bottom? It's common for the oil pump seal to leak. If you get the oil pump reseal kit, it contains the oil pump seal and gasket, as well as the crankshaft seal. Make sure you seal the oil pump bolts, Volvo has special copper washers for this purpose.

Just try to locate the oil leak before replacing any more parts. Sometimes it can be something simple like the oil cap seal or the oil trap housing.

Buy one of of ebay or get one from the dealer which isn't to cheap. I recently bought one off of Ebay and I programmed it myself. It was pretty easy did it in about 3-5 min.

Lots of possibilities. If glass has a flaw, from a stone chip or something, then even just a quick temperature change can cause it to shatter. It is also possible it was under pressure because of something pinching, misaligned, caught in the hinge, etc. unfortunately it is probably not under warranty, although it always pays to check for recalls. But insurance should cover it. Maybe even the home owners insurance, since it happened in the garage.

Toyota Tercel stuck in gear

Its a gear shift issue.

The shifter needs to be inspected. The shifter assembly is got misaligned, it has to be open and realign.

There are many other possibilities. But if it was working right up till now and suddenly this occurred then its shifter assembly alignment issue.
