If your horn keeps going off .it may be due to the horn pad being stuck or damaged or a horn relay being stuck . You can find the relay and unplug it and see if the horn stops then if there is a relay in the same box switch with the horn relay and see if the horn works right it so its a relay problem if not . You will need to remove the air bag/steering wheel pad and inspect the horn pad to see if the contacts are stuck .

Silverado horn

Unplug the horn

If the fuses do not blow & you have
battery voltage at the wire connector
you took off, when pushing the horn
pad, then replace the horn

If the fuse blows with the horn out of the circuit,
then you got to do some testing for a short in the
wiring or horn button area.

Personally I would start by looking at a wiring diagram,
so I wasn't guessing at where I'm about to do my testing.

Keep blowing horn fuse

that is easy, a shorted horn or its wires.
there are only these ways to find it.
1: pocket full off fuses, and pull horn lug and test for blowing fuse.
2: and ammeter,.used to find it.
3: visual inspection of the whole horn wiring harness.
they also sell a fuse adaptive circuit breaker (test) so you dont need a pocket full of fuses.
4: willynilly guessing, new horn, new horn relay, then dang back to #1 or 2.

Saturn Keep blowing horn fuse

Could be a short in the steering wheel or column. Or a faulty horn relay.
You may need a wiring diagram to trace the circuits from the relay.
Usually the black wire is the ground and the green is voltage from the relay.

Horn keeps goin off by itself. would likento know where horn relay is located

I do not have a listing for some reason for the relay itself but would pull the fuse anyhow so there is no power to that circuit anyway. The fuse you are looking for will be in the passenger side fuse comprtment (location instructions below). The fuse you want to ppull for the horns will be the number 3 fuse (see picture of fuse layout below). I hope this helps until you get the short fixed and good luck.clifford224_522.gifclifford224_523.gif

My horn will not stop blowing, how do i fix it?

Your horn button is jammed or the wiring to the horn is shorting to ground.

Remove the horn fuse for now until you can get the horn button or wiring sorted.

Thanks

I have a 1989 chevy s10 horn radio and dome light not working keeps blowing horn/dm fuse out

Check inside the drivers and passenger side door jam for the little push in type switch. 9x out of 10 one or the other will be causing the short to the dome fuse. These little **** get rusty and also get alot of wear and tear from the door opening and shutting over and over. These switchs are what causes your dome light to come on when you open your door and or likewise they shut your dome light off when you shut you door. A very good way to test to see if one of these little switchs is the couprate is to take and hook up a voltage light into the negative side battery post after you disconnect the battery negative line.. If your voltage light is on than that would mean that you have a short somewhere in your system. Now, since you already know that you are blowing the dome fuse then your already halfway there. With the light on your votage light still on indicatin a short, unscrew the little switch on the door jam and disconnect the power wire from it. Check to see if the light on your voltage light is still indicating a short, if not then you can be sure that the door jam was the coulprete. Hope this is of help.

04 CooperS: Horn does not work

Check the fuse first. should be in the drivers footwell. Make sure that it is not blown. 90% of the time fuse will just blow due to high resistance from one of the horns. There is a high and low horn often it requires to replace one and try the horn and see if it blows. Then replace the horn that blows the fuse.
