couple of things to try first , is the trans fluid at correct level ? when was the fluid last replaced ? have the OBD codes read as may tell you what the problem is , if you done all this i'd go to a repar shop for advice
Tranny most likely shot. I believe yours is a T-5, I had the same issue years back but in 3rd gear. Usually the clutch going out is a gradual thing. So I would have a tranny shop look at it. Maybe find a cheap rebuilt tranny for ya.Look online or a trusted shop.
It sounds like your input clutch seals are rolling. Is the check engine light on. It could also be the pressure control solenoid could be causing the problem aswell
it has a problem with the second gear drum it cracks and does not fully engauge the n shifts to 3rd ..many honda owners also learn the 8 bucks a quart is the only fluid to pour in a honda..but remember 3 qaurts per drain and fill the tranny holds 7q ....it will take a case to do a drain flush...a high pressure flush will ruin a automatic tranny with alot of miles or metal deposits floating around inside..DRAIN AND FILL 3 QUARTS AT A TIME NO GASKET NEEDED ITS BUILT AND DESIGNED LIKE A MANUAL TRANNY
Hey buddy i have a 94 accord and i replaced the transmission and had the exact same problem. But it took me burning up the new tranny that was stuck in fourth gear on a hill to find out that the shift solenoids on the front of the tranny were bad. They are very expensive, so your best bet is to get them from a junkyard. Also i was told that my transmission control module could be bad, its located under the passenger side dash board, under the carpet. But luckily my problem was the solenoids, but i still had to put a second tranny in.
the neutral safty switch tells the comp. what gear is in. when its not working the light wont move and the car will not go threw the gears prop. the switch is nown to go out. it is located on the tranny or down under the shifter
