My eingine turns over but wont start. I have a 1991 Accord. I did a spark test and have confirmed there is no spark. Any guesses on what it is or what i should do next

yes, and did you tune it up and do all 60 and 100k service points.

the PCM will cut fuel if it (thinks?) that spark is bad, this feature (safety) is a spark read back path that tells the ECM/PCM that
spark is good.
so once spark is good, all 4 cylinder. (max) simple tests, (ask)
then its bad fueling, (more simple tests)

do you want us to guess, or explain the simple tests.
some like guessing.
top good guesses are:
1: bad fuel.
2: bad spark (never ever tuned up, this decade)
3: fuel filter packed, fuel pressure very low. or nil. or marginal.
4: wrong gas cap? causes low fuel pressure?

i check spark, then fuel.
to check fuel i fist check pressure, every time.
the squirt test only proves the pump has electr. power, nothing else. I use a real guage to do that., do you have tools and gauges and a volt meter? if not, its all just guessing.

Does it have spark? If not, 90% sure it's a distributor. I still to this day keep a spare D, B, and F series distributor in the trunk of my car to bail out all my Honda buddies when their "dizzy" drops out. Usually, it's one of the three pickup sensors in the distributor that goes dead. Start by checking for good, clean, spark. If you have good spark, go to fuel, then compression. But with as often as the Dizzy goes dead at this cars age, start there...

radio wires will not cause a short and no start condition on that car, Check fuel and spark.

if no fuel pressure or spark its probaly the "Main Relay" this is located under the steering column. hope this helps.

How did you confirm the fuel system is okey? What testing brought you to the conclusion its not firing?

cars wont start without fuel so it could always be A) fuel pump B) fuel filter C) fuel injecters dirty. any one of these will cause fuel not to reach your spark plugs and cause then eng not to start

I like to make sure the timing belt is not skipped or broken by watching the cam turn inside the valve cover. Then I lay a spare spark plug on valve cover connected to any plug wire to see if it sparks. Fuel can be confirmed by smelling the exhaust, or by using starting fluid . These cars are famous for a coil relay solder break problem. The relay is heat expansion damaged, its mounted high up in the dash drivers side corner it is about 3" square gray.

my car wont start. it was working fine . i check the starter, the alternator and the battery and there ok. im guessing its the wiring but i cant seem to find out wat wire it is.. please help.. asap..

just make sure the main engine fuse insnt blown.its in the fuse box under the hood,,,.have a peek

If the timing belt is damaged(broken or missing teeth) you will get no spark. One easy way to tell is that many times the engine will sound different as it turns over, than it used to.
