Your not going to believe how easy it is to replace this one.

The thermostat is located behind the housing bolted to the water pump that the lower hose attaches to. remove the lower hose from the housing. Remove the 2 bolts holding the housing to the water pump with either a 10mm socket or wrench.

The new stat will come as a stat/housing assembly. bolt it on. Reattach the lower hose. Fill up the reservoir. Let the vehicle idle until up to operating temp making sure to keep the reservoir topped off while the engine warms up.

SOURCE: knocking in steering column in 2003 gmc sierra

Yes it will. GM has new replacement upper intermediate shaft for around 55-70 dollars depending on where you buy it. Took about an hour to change. Instructions with pictures on internet. Lock steering wheel so it does not move or you will break air bag sensor wire. They sell a pin to insert into steering wheel to lock it into place. Hope this helps

SOURCE: 2003 GMC Sierra Knock sensor and oil pressure??

the knock sensors are located below the intake plenum,or,upper intake manifold as some call it, they screw into the lower intake, the front one is sensor 1, the rear is sensor 2. it is wise to change both if you have some miles.since you are going to be buying a gasket set to do this job.the sensors are cheaper than the gaskets.

SOURCE: I changed batteries in my 2003 GMC Sierra key fob

1. Close all doors
2. Insert key into ignition
3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver's door panel, continue to hold down
until instructed to release in step 9.

4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in a fairly rapid succession.
5. Turn the ignition to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine.)
6. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
7. Turn the ignition to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the engine.)
8. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
9. Release the power UNLOCK button on the door panel. The vehicle should respond by
door locks locking and unlocking automatically. (If locks do not cycle after you let go,
not before you let go of the unlock button, then the vehicle has not entered programming
mode and you must start procedure over. Remove key from ignition, open drivers door
and return to step 1 ). If the locks do cycle automatically then proceed to step 10.

10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote until the doors lock and
unlock. This may take up to 30 seconds.

11. Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional remote. (Including any existing remotes).
12. Turn the ignition to the ON position to exit the programming mode.
13. Test remote(s).
