Oil life 15% - 2008 Honda Accord

Look at the manual -- there's a procedure to reset the oil life (the car doesn't know when you change the oil on its own)

1. Edit Step 15 ¶ When it's time to change the oilin your Civic, the maintenance light (orange wrench) will appear on your dash, as well as a B1 message, showing an oil life of 15% or less. To reset the Oil Life % gauge, press and hold the SEL/RESET button for about 10 seconds until the Oil Life message begins to flash.

as to 15 % left on oil life they forgot to reset -check oil level and filter [leak]-look under vehicle where oil pan is and check o2 sensors and wiring worker could have hit a wire or connector -have code checked can be 100s of reasons for code most auto stores offer this service for free and if its something like a damaged sensor or wiring in the area the shop was working go back and tell them about it

change your oil or whoever changed it last did not reset the oil life indicator.

This is alerting you to a need for the 2B service and that is likely an oil and filter change, the 15% means you have that much oil life left before a change of oil is needed.

Oil Life?
After your oil change, hold down the trip reset button(i think it is) near the seat belt sing for about 15 secs. Then let go when Oil Life is flashing. Then press again and hold for about 5 secs.

It is probably telling you that the oil needs changing soon. The wrench is telling you it needs service and the 15% is probably stating you have 15% of life in the oil left, with 0% being the oil has to be changed. Most newer cars recommend the oil is changed every 3000 mi or 3 mo.

it means that your car (not specified)has a service indicator and that if you have 10k service intervals you have done 8500(1500 left)or time for an oil/filter change.some cars are not mileage based,but stop/starts/running time are taken into account.

This is what helps the tech inspect your car. B Means to replace oil and oil filter. And inspect certain things on the vehical.

What do you mean 15. Their is no 15 in the Maintenance Minder System.

To reset the Maintenance Minder System (your oil life) Make sure the oil life is displayed
#1 Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds until the oil life flashes
#2 Press and hold the reset button for a additional 5 seconds.
