Possibly bad wheel bearing/hub assembly. There is one for each front wheel. Usually if it quiets down turning left, then the front left would be bad and vice versa.

I have a 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada and we have recently discovered that someone has removed the front drive shaft and half shafts. Will these parts from a 1999 Oldsmobile Bravada fit in my 2002?

Should, they are the same body style, definitely take some measurements before purchasing the parts. I would also plan on having your transfer case rebuilt or replaced, you figure there was probably a reason they disconnected the AWD.

Howling noise from passenger side front wheel

If the plastic boots are intact chances are the joints are fine. If they move freely without any binding you should be ok.

The rear Drivers side axel has play.

I would certainly replace the axle with play. But this may not be all. Could be wheel bearing as well.

Front end Rumble Simalar to worn Ball joint Noise

the problem with your truck is your knuckle bearings. I just replaced them on a friends truck and it sounds like the same problem. Just look on the inside of the front hub close to where the front axel attaches to the hub. If the seal is gone you will have a ring inside the hub on the axel shaft.

Transaxel leaks transmission fluid

was the seal put in correctly. there is a certain way that a seal must be installed. generally i like to bake sure that there are no burrs on the shaft that slides through the seal. also the rubber part of the seal is usualy dry and they should have given you seal grease to soften it up before installation. did you use a seal driver to install the seal? trying to just tap it in with just a hammer will usually damage it and then it will leak. double check to make sure it was the right seal it's been known to happen that you go and buy a seal and you get home and it's the wrong one. i'm sure the problem is a a mis installed seal. unfortunately when you remove the seal you will not be able to reuse it due to the damage . you will have to purchase another one. hope this helps. please rate this solution....thanks

LEAKING FRONT AXIL SEAL

take the wheel off , unbolt caliper and sling it out of the way with a bungi cord, take off the rotor, then you have too take the pumpkin cover off the axel diff in the front (drain fluid first) easy way to do that take out bottom and side bolts out then leave top 1 or 2 in but finger loose. pry cover off with a sturdy scrapper from side allowing fluid to leak out from bottom of cover. when fluid is done comeing out then take off cover. to take the axel out to replace the seal you have to push the axel inwards to remove the C- CLIP on the end of the axel shaft that slides into the inside of the pinion gear (use a extending magnet) keeps gear oil on your hands and from dropping it into the pumpkin housing. then all you have to do is slide the axel shaft out. then replace the seal .
