Need more information.....What is the problem...If it is stuck open and you cant close it Check fuses and relay If these are good check switch for power .If all is good The cable is bound or off track....You can close it manually if you slightly remove headliner at front....remove cable from motor and turn the gear in motor with plyers or screwdriver to close it....I have done this with 3 different vehicles....Also if you cant hear the motor you know it is a power problem...But if you can hear the motor and nothing happens the cable is bound or off track.or broke..but that is rare........DONT TRY OVER AND OVER If you hear motor because if it is bound you will burn motor up.!........................

Volvo S80 has water leak on the driver side front floor. Happens when it rains.

If you have a sun roof, the drain hose may be off. If so,remove the sun visor and pull down the head liner, to get to the hose and drain fitting on the sun roof opening

2001 Volvo V70 with sun roof...car sitting in heavy rain..return to car both front drivers side and passenger side footwells were full of water. What could cause this..no the windows were not open or the...

Not familiar with the Volvo, but many cars (Toyota, Lexus, Acura, Honda, etc.) have drain holes at the corners of the sun roof assembly. These holes allow water that gets past the sunroof gasket to drain through tubes that carry the water to the bottom of the car, where it exits the car.

These drain holes are prone to clogging. If the Volvo setup is like those cars mentioned, you can see the front drain holes by opening the sunroof and looking closely at the two front corners of the assembly that holds the sunroof. I have used plastic weedeater line to open up these lines. Compressed air can also be used.

Both sun visors will not stay up , very frustrating , is this a typical problem for a 2000 Volvo V40 ?

I have the same issue and when I unscrewed the drivers side sun visor I didn't realize it was connected to wires. I unfortunately pulled about 3-4 inches of the wire out unknowingly but I realized that when the radio stopped working so don't do what I did ok? Did you ever find a way to keep the visors in place?

Volvo 2003 s60 sun roof do not open, fuse ok.

check your fuse in position 38 in the fuse box....this fuse is for the car's alarm system but also seems to work the sunroof, I have a problem with this fuse when its not blown the sunroof opens with no problems but when it blows the roof will not open I am not sure how they are tied in together but they are....so I would say that you have an electrical issue....do not replace the motor until you check this first
