If fan only has high speeed selection only but no other speeds then its probably the fan voltage resistor witch parts cost is about 80.00. or if you dont have any speeds working at all then check the fuses it might be the fan motor or the control panel on dash

I would like to know if the aux fan sopose to work with the ac of on a2003 bmw x5 please.

Yes the AUX fan must come on when the the AC is running. If your car is overheating change the water pump and thermostat.

WHERE DO I LOCATE THE FUSEBOX THAT HAS THE AC BLOWER FUSE

Its probably not the fuse, but instead the blower resistor located under the dash. They are usually accessed from the glovebox side of console up near the firewall. This truck should have 3 fuse boxes, one back by the battery, one in glovebox (drop-down panel), and one under cabin air filter under hood. All should have fuse diagrams with them and there should be one in your owner's manual.

Hope this helps,

HOW TO LOCATE AND PULL DOWN GLOVE BOX TO LOCATE FUSE BOX

I'd be VERY surprised if the fusebox was located behind the glovebox. Fuseboxes are almost always under the hood, near the battery.

HOW TO GET TO FUSE BOX UNDER GLOVE BOX ON 2003 BMW X5

  • You have to open the glove box and turn the two finger switches 1/4 turn.
If the blower isn't working its probably not the fuse anyway. The part you need to replace is the fan speed resistor.

BMW 2002 X5 Battery Drain

I am having the same problem with my 2002 X5. There is a motor or fan running behind the AC control panel on the dash and if I pull fuse 48 it stops and the battery doesn't drain. Still looking for the cause and solution so that I don't have to keep pulling and installin fuse 48. BMW garage suggested that it was the Final Stage Blower Resistor. I replaced this and no change. I hope someone has an answer that will help us both.

Front AC blower stop working on my BMW X5 2003

If you do not run even one level of performance as the needed engine control unit, check fuses! If they are okay, the fan is defective! is a frequent defect no only X5 E53 series
