Make sure there are no bad connections under the right front seat. Usually it is just a bad connection. Try to clear codes and see if the code returns. You could also try switching the left and the right and see if the problems moves to the left side to be sure it is a defective pretensioner. If you do need to change it, just unhook the battery for 5 minutes. Then unplug and unbolt it. Hook up the new one and then hook the battery back up.

B0012 is a fault on the DRIVERS side, you sure you read the code right?
If it is a B0012 then any of the wiring could be suspect the coil or the air bag it's self. I have seen a couple of cars coming with this code and I found the wires coming out of the air bag in the steering wheel to be rubing where they go through the steering wheel into the colume, may want to check there first.
Report back if the code is something else so we can try and assist you.

This is usually due to an airbag deployment. It's the code for the front left circuit (driver's side). Most likely, the driver's side airbag deployed and the bag and module were replaced, but the module circuit ring in the column wasn't replaced. When the module senses the need to deploy, it sends a signal to the ring opening the line for the current to flow and causes the bag to deploy. Problem is, the circuit stays open, and casues a fault code. The unfortunate part is, until the curcuit is replaced, the SRS system in inoperable and will not deploy again in the event of an accident. You'll have to have the steering wheel pulled to service this item and should be done by a certified technician. It can be expensive, but worth the price of your safety.

This code is for the passenger side seat belt buckle pretensioner.
Check wiring for damage disconnect and reconnect the wire at buckle sometimes will build up resistance and can set the light. the most likely cause is a defective buckle. The airbag system wants to know that seat belt is buckled this is why it is related to airbag system.
There is a special tool to plug in to test components that will simulate them and turn light out but only a dealer will have it.
If you see no damaged wires it is most likely the buckle itself.
