You probably have a dead battery or a lead from the battery came undone.

I'd suggest taking the battery out and taking it to your local automotive stores and having them test it. If you have another car you can spare, i'd pull the battery from that one and throw it your lexus to verify.

But from the sounds of it, it sounds like you're just dealing with a dead battery.

Good luck!

My trunk wont open after un locking cars security system but after unlocking trunk from inside of car trunk latch works as long as trunk is open

No mention of make/model but does key fob open doors OK? If so it isn't the fob batteries... Could still be a bad button on the fob but it could be a balky solenoid on the trunk latch. Maybe try 12V direct to the solenoid?

Push button start not working in my 2009 nissan cube any suggestions

Sounds like the R/F transmitter in your key fob has malfunctioned. Get the dealer on the phone. They are probably the only ones who can help you.

Trunk button doesn't work

I have a 2003 Nissan Sentra and have had this problem myself. When you operate the slide switch that is left of the steering wheel on the dash or push the trunk button on your key fob, can you hear the solenoid click, but the truck doesn't open? If it does, open the truck with your key and raise the lid. I found that the lever assembly in the bottom lock was hanging up. I lubricated with WD-40 and using a small screw driver I moved the levers until they moved smoothly. Then activated the key fob switch and it started operating. If the solenoid doesn't work then there probably is an electrical problem. Let me know.

My gas cap and trunk wont open. I need gas. Te button on the console won't release the gas cap to open or the trunk. Audi TT 2002.

Take your key and go to the drivers door, make sure the door is unlocked by pulling on the handle, open and close the door. Insert the key and "lock" the door, double check that it is locked by pulling on the handle. Insert the key and "un-lock" the door, use the handle to open the door and now press the fuel door key and it should open, same for trunk release button.

Audi's are a strange breed, sometimes you just need to "re-set" some stuff. But in the future if you lock the car with the key, the fob will unlock the car but the three buttons in the console will not work, the fob will function correctly.

I hope this helps.

But a used 2006 solara but key fob does not remotely open trunk. Any suggestions?

Yes, insure that you have power to the trunk lock inside trunk, If not could be lose/broken wire or shot fuse. I am sure the key fob does work for the doors? If not have key fob battery replaced. Also, a quick check on power to trunk lock, check to see if have remote power button inside car, if it works power is good. Defective key fob would then be indicated.

Car will not unlock.

To get inside the car .... Use the key in the lock cylinder, unlock the drivers door to get inside. You shouldn't have to reprogram the fob unless it or the keyless module was changed. There may be a blown fuse that supplies the keyless control module (check the owners manual for location). or wires that lead into the Drivers door may be damaged ... The keyless module is located inside the drivers door at the bottom behind the door panel ... do the unlock/lock and trunk release switches on the inside of the drivers door operate the locks and or trunk release? If so it is not the fuse ... and not the wires to it ... And it could be your BCM body control module, located in the dash board to right of your gas petal. Because the number entry keypad (code for that is on the inside of the right passenger trunk bracket arm) also doesn't work I assume it's not the key fobs themselves. Your 98 manual is correct for your car.

2001 TA WS6 - Horn and key fob not working

Horn problem is either bad horns or failed clockspring behind steering wheel which is the connection for the airbag and horn buttons.

Looks like a dead battery, mabey? key fob will not work, light is not blinking on dashboard (security) can not get inside. 2004 model, on-star is analog, so it is not active.

There is an emergency key for just this situation.

Use it to pry the keyhole cover off the left (driver's) side of the rear bumper. The pry point is at the bottom of the cover. Insert the key, unlock the trunk and lift it open, it's not too heavy.

Open the little door on the left side of the trunk, near the back. It has a gas pump on it. There are 2 tabs inside. One opens the gas cap. The other unlocks the drivers door. Now you can get into the driver's side of the cabin.

Below and forward of the button to release the hood on the left side of the steering wheel, is a manual hood release. Pull it and release the hood.

Now you should be able to open the hood and charge the battery to make everything work again.
