I just yesterday bought a 5 speed Subaru gl, its now getting no spark, I know that because it died on my way to work, I added gas, hoped for the easiest thing. We did the spark check, I was told maybe its my coil pack, thing is I have no idea where that is located.

Make sure all those connections are clean and check to make sure you are getting fuel. Check to make sure you are actually getting a spark also. The first thing though, is make sure the rotor inside the distributor is actually turning. If not, then the timing belt is broken. take care and good luck.

'87 Subaru GL, fuel delivery

You say the pump is running and you have spark - but are those working when the engine stops?

Discovering those things is probably the first step towards diagnosing the trouble.

How about the possibility of a foreign object in the fuel tank periodically cutting off the supply? It isn't an unusual thing...

Monitoring the fuel pressure while you drive is one way of discovering the truth.

EPC means Electronic Pedal Control. Fly-by-wire for your gas pedal--instead of a mechanical cable that pulls an accelerator linkage on the engine, there's an electronic device on the gas pedal, an electronic device on the throttle body and a wire between them.
You should check the sistem with diagnostic tool.
