Need more information......Do you mean the fuel gauge doesnt work ?...If it is actually burnt out the instrument cluster is burnt in one spot.....this is the first step in the process of complete gauge failure...it is normally the first to go...sometimes it will be the only gauge to not work....
Although if the gauge isnt working the in tank float is stuck and or fuel sending unit has failed.First make sure it has fuel in it (put in 2 gallons)...You dont want to put very much in because if it is the float you will have to remove tank.
It is best to replace the complete fuel sending unit rather than just the float...mainly because one can make the other go bad...also for some models you cant purchase the float only.........It would save you money to have the PCM scanned for fuel delivery system.this will tell you where fault is.
If you can visually see a burn place at the gauge the cluster has failed.

Thank you for your response bill boyd i suspect egr the tubes at the block and intake clogged could this have caused burned hole in #2 piston 1996 sentra 1.6 ?

It is possible as it will alter the air/fuel ratio. The EGR valve is designed to re-admit exhaust gas into the manifold so as to slow down combustion by the introduction of already burnt gas or partially burnt gas to obtain the correct exhaust mixture for pollution requirements. I would still check the tops of the pistons for the indents as it will affect all the pistons although the weakest piston failed.

How could I tell if my 3406E engine has a burnt valve

Hold a piece of paper to cover exhaust it should move in and out like it does when you hold it against your mouth and breath if it stays out steady you have a burnt valve or just hold foot on the brake and apply a little braking force and press gas like power braking if it stumbles it's probably a burnt valve

Number 1 cellender is running to ritch and miss fire ,how do I fix it , how to fix it

Pull the plug in cylinder #1 and inspect it for corrosion, burnt or rich with gas. If corrosion or burnt replace plugs if wet with gas and the plug is in good condition replace distributor cap and rotor, if this model has coil packs replace the coil pack that covers cylinder #1 it may also cover another cylinder as we'll some of the earlier models had two cylinders per coil. Hope this helps

My truck didnt pass smog they said it was a firing issue and some gas isnt getting burnt..is it the spark plugs? are they out of order?

If your plugs weren't wired right you would have trouble with missing, rough idle if it would start and run. Some gas not getting burnt suggests that a tune up may be in order. New plugs, wires, cap and rotor. It would be a good idea to have the throttle body checked out, 16 years of gas flow will wear it and maybe its putting out a little too much gas. Going one hotter on your plugs could also help get rid of that unburnt gas. Make sure there are no codes that would affect gas consumption, if there is fix them first. Hope this helps.

Graphic Display Module

Pull the display and check for a burnt out illumination bulb, I have not seen this cause any AC smell.
