I have a 06 trailblazer, and my drivers window will not go down. I had the motor cahnge it and is still not working. WE even took the switch out of the drivers door and connected it to the passenger door and all the buttons work. The drivers switch opened the passenger window and the other switches opened the rear windows however my drivers window would not open. Dont know what to do next. We know there is power in the door because my electric mirrors work and all other windows work. Please help. Thanks

Are you aware of the fact that there are door modules ? Controlled electronically !
Power Window Inoperative - Driver Door

Operate the driver power window in the UP and DOWN directions.
Does the driver power window operate properly?
YES - Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems
NO - Go to Step 3

Install a scan tool.
Monitor the Driver Window Status Data parameter in the driver door inputs list.
Does the Driver Window Status Data parameter display an active state?
YES - Go to Step 11
NO - Go to Step 4

Monitor the Driver Window Status Data parameter in the driver door module (DDM) inputs list.
Activate the driver power window switch in the up and down positions.
Does the Driver Window Status Data parameter change accordingly?
YES - Go to Step 5
NO - Go to Step 11

Connect a test lamp to a good ground.
Backprobe the battery positive voltage circuit at connector C1 cavity D.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
YES - Go to Step 6
NO - Go to Step 13

Disconnect the driver power window motor.
Connect a test lamp to a good ground.
Probe the power window motor up control circuit at the power window motor harness connector.
Activate the power window switch to the UP position.
Does the test illuminate?
YES - Go to Step 7
NO - Go to Step 9

With the test lamp still connected to a good ground, probe the power window motor down control circuit.
Activate the power window switch to the DOWN position.
Does the test lamp illuminate?
YES - Go to Step 8
NO - Go to Step 10

You probably have a bad door module .

Aside from the fuses, your drive side power door lock may be failing to work because of a bad door-lock relay system, or, alternatively, the locking switch/button, itself, is not malfunctioning and in need of replacement.

SOURCE: how to remove passenger side mirror

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then pull off the cover adjacent to the mirror and remove the bolts holding the mirror on. Once the mirror's off, you should see the harness / plug

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

I have no idea why the window only goes down.

Michael, Inside the window switch are copper contacts that do wear,corrode and become defective. the switch still could be defective even though it works for going down.
Test the switch with a DVOM or test light.
You can google search your particular vehicle for more info on diagnosing power window problems.

06 300c drivers side window not functioning after replacing door switch

Check for power at the motor when pushing up or down on switch, if you have power tap the motor with hammer or blunt solid object. If this works your window motor is going bad and it may work for a week or a year but will eventually need to be replaced. If it does not work double check switch fuses and wires from motor to switch and switch thru doorjam .

Passenger window wont roll down with either switch but motor is good and getting power

New switch for the passenger side. The drivers side switch may be wired through the passengers side switch witch will make it not work if the passengers side switch is bad. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

Passenger windown wont roll up or down, motor good

If the passenger side switch is bad it wont complete the circuit to operate the window. Recommend trying a known good passenger switch.

POWER WINDOWS NOT WORKING & POWER WINDOW/REGULATOR ISSUES

It can be issue with motor itself. If it's not going up, then how its working down. But still it feels like weak window motor or is issue with power window switch. Get the voltage tested at switch and motor. Also try another working window motor at not working window side.

Thank yo for the schematic Ernesto. It says Nissan 1996, so is the 2008 still using the same schematic?

Power lock and power windows dont work can`t find fuse

Number 21 is for the door lock fuse and relay, its a 10 amp fuse.
Number 7 is for the body control module, its a 10 amp fuse.

The fuse panel is under back seat.If all fuses checked out ok,then its faulty drivers door module called as DDM.

I have a 2005 jeep grand cherokee limited, the doors on the passenger side were smashed so i replaced them with 06 doors, the wiring harnesses plugs for the door panels are not the same, so i took all the...

Before you "hack into the harness," try to change over everything so that all the wiring,switches and motors on the new doors are the original ones. A lot of the switches have circuit boards matched to the vehicle wiring and other switches. It is possible that your new doors have the wiring on the motors reversed, so that when you try to wind the window down, it wants to wind it up. Also before getting in to the wiring, if nothing else is working, make sure the motors for the window are actually working by disconnecting them and supplying the 12Volt positive and negative to them.

No. not the switch. Check to see if you have power going into it. I don't have the wire diagram, but you can take a test light and check each line. At least one will light up with the key on. Certainly check your fuses.
