I have a 94 honda civic 2door coupe automatic, it starts fine in the morning and then when i came out maybe 5 minutes later it was shut off. i tried starting it again and could hear the engine turning but was geting no juice. i thought it was the battery. i waited for a couples hours and started it again. gave a little trouble then started right up, drove fine. next day same problem but wouldnt start after waiting hours to start back up. got a jump (again thinking its the battery) would sound like it wants to start when turning the key but when pumping the brake it would stall. got it going again but during driving seemed more at higher speed of 45 or more car would start lossing power or juice whichever it was, i would press gas and rpms would go high but the car would still try and slow down, few days of this now wont start. fuel pump is working, maybe the fuel filter?

The check engine light comes on mostly when you have bad gas tank cup,or you don't tight enough the gasoline.Go to any auto-zone and request the obd scanner,at no charge just leave your driver license or credit card,connect the scanner follow the instructions.They will check up and the check engine light will come off in the next 3 to 5 days. I had same problem last week and it was that i had 10lbs of pressure and needs more than 50lbs to open injector,
You can buy a fuel pressure tester at any auto parts for 40dls.
there are two type of transmission for your 94 civic it's better prefered to use the one with a clutch pump rather than the one with clutch cable their mounting are almost the same and the shift linkage should come in complete set
