SOURCE: 2003 Passat GLX V6 4motion with 194K km. Requires

That consumption is great, no worries.
Most healthy cars will consume a quart in 2,400 to 3,00 KM.

Car manufacturers will not repair and consider a quart in 965 km to be normal, I would be livid at that consumption.

If consumption gets too much, consider a high mileage blend, like Casteroil. It is a semi synthetic, and actually does lower consumption.

There is actually nothing that you could do to lower your consumption, but keep everything clean and maintained.

My Alto VXR 2004 has a problem that its engine oil is getting lesser fast in quantity. I am using Zic A as engine oil.local car mechanic says engine weak he says gas kit and engine head problem

is is odometer reading?
all cars burn oil if driven real fast, at 80mph, lots.
what i need is ,
1: speeds driven. avg.
2: and what weight, oil , is it hot there, sure, then run 10w-40 oil.
3: how many liters of oil per miles.
some cars go for years, burning 1quart of oil per 3000 mile.s
1L/5000 km to 1L /1000 km. (new car to old)
even more. on older engines.
if the engine runs good, drive it and change oil more often.
check oil at every petrol fill up, and learn what your engine needs
all engine burn oil by design. its a fact.

do an engine compression test.
2 times wide open throttle.
on a warm engine
if lower that spec, 150psi?
then add 1 teaspoon, of oil to spark hole , see if compression rises
if it does, its rings are old.
post the numbers, if all are 150 or more , drive it like you stole it.
half joking there, but drive it. and change oil often and check oil levels
every fill up or every other (depends on reality)

GASKET.
post the compression test readings. only NUMBERS count.
we need numbers and engine size.

Why is so ******* oil consumption?

Older motors do use more oil. The oil is leaking because the springs between the piston and the cylinder are a bit worn out. The cylinder and pistons also wear a bit. You could minimise the oil usage, when you let the motor give a revision. That will cost a lot. As long as you don't need to pour in more oil you should try to live with it. Don't buy expensive oil, because it can't become old in the motor.

Engine oil reduces every 1000 km, what to do?

All VW product have plasma coated bores and for this reason will "use"oil.the workshop manual says "1 litre every 350 km is ACCEPTABLE".I have NEVER had a car THAT BAD,unless worn out.
check your oil every 500 miles MAX.and use 10/40 semi synthetic.(as per VW Europe/middle/far east manual.)change every 10k inc filter.
