The 04 was pretty straight forward.

Change the oil and filter when the display tells you to. (Don't forget to reset Oil Life system!)
when the display tells you to change engine oil... Do the following as well:
~Lube Chassis Components
~Check Tires for Air and Damage
~Inspect Break System
~Check Engine Fluids and Washer System
~Check Power Steering System
~Check Wiper Blades
~Check Restraint System
~Lube Body Components (See manual)
~Replace Cabin Air Filter (Located in firewall on passenger side.)

Every 25K miles do the following:
~ Inspect Fuel System, Exhaust System, Accessory Drive Belts for damage or wear.
~ Replace Air Cleaner

Ever 50K Miles
~ If used for Towing - Replace Transfer Case Fluid :: If not change fluid ever 75Kk miles.

Every 100k Miles
~ Change Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter
~ Change Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter again at 150k if heavy service
~ Replace Spark Plugs

Every 150k miles
~ Change Engine Coolant (Or every 5 years which ever comes first!)
~ Replace Engine Accessory Drive Belt

optional y are supposed to change the transfer case fluid every 50k if towing

When does timing belt need to be changed

Some cars like certain Hondas rexomend it every 70 to 75 thousand miles because they tensd to break at around 100 thousand causing damage in the process. For your vehicle i would call a toyota dealership or sometimes it in the maintenance schedule in the cars manual. Do you suspect there is a problem with it or have you put alot of strain on your engine?

What are some common problems with the 2005 chevy impala with the 3.4

3.4 will run about 100-150 thousand miles. They can last longer if ya dont beat on it. They tend to get a little lifter noise when they get older. Its not a terrible motor. 3.8 was ALOT better. 200-250 thousand miles. I had a Regal with 240 thousand when i sold it.

At what miles should you replace the timing belt?

Most dealerships and mechanics will tell you between 75 and 100 thousand miles. This is do to the belt stretching and heat from the engine. I hope this helps

2003 Outlander timing belt replacement

60,000 miles or 96,560 kilometers is about the longest amount of time and mileage to run on a timing belt. They might be lasting longer than that, but they can also fail at anytime after that.

I had front and rear differential service done 9 months ago and have put on 4,000 miles since. How often should this work be done?

generally you should change diff fluid about every 12 to 15 thousand miles. However, if you aren't towing or running at high speeds for extended periods, providing that there are no leaks and you use a good quality lube and don't have a positraction differential (posi units are very sensitive to lack of service and can bind up) in the rear, you can have it serviced along with the transmission anywhere between 15 and 20 thousand miles. Rule is, the harder you work it, the more frequent you service it. (Even though I have seen many diffs go 150k without any service, that's not the right way to do it)

Servicing cars

You should change your oil & filter every 3 to 5 thousand miles. The more frequently you change the oil, the more life you will get out of the engine. Rotate the tires every other oil change. Replace the air filter every 15 thousand miles. Flush the cooling system and flush the transmission (automatic) every 30 thousand. Change the iridium plugs every 90 thousand. There is no timing belt to worry about, that veh has a timing CHAIN. That is basically it.
