ok it seems this belt is the first ever to be changed out. Gates is the best.
my online links shows 5 engine options, 1.6L to 3L.
that begs the question #1 is my engine interference type,
if you go to the GATES (tm) ecatalog, you can see if it is or not. using engine type. option as your selection.
i pulled up the maintenance tab and it states, 105K miles.
but may vary by engine, and for sure if belt is 2nd time.
look up this info carefully.
and can vary with cars driven extensively in stop and go traffic.
hot , and long engine hours, but low miles.
i see no chain, on the 5 engines, alldata shows 5 belts.

i am guessing that you are asking about replacing the timing belt on your honda .. if so then here is the replacement schedule

under normal driving 105,000 miles or 84 months
under extreme temp 60,000 miles or every 48 months (hot or cold climates)

its a good idea to change the water pump and tensioner pullies at the same time.. they dont add much to the parts cost ...

its not a good idea to wait for belt failure. interference engines like yours will do a lot of damage if the belt fails.

the manual calls for replacement every 105,000 miles, it is preferred that it be done at 100,000 miles (gives a safe margin), if it breaks/fails u can damage the engine.

Check your Operator manual in the maintenance section but it should be around 50,00 to 100,000 miles. If you don't have the manual any longer or purchased the vehicle used without the manual you should be able to download a .pdf of the manual from the Honda website.
