do you have a neon. is there is buzzing noise coming from the gas tank when you turn the key. there is afuel pump relay it ,and if you are getting gas there is a fuel pump regulator
Sounds like afuel problem.Check fuel pressure.If no pressure could be a fuse,fuel pump rlelay or fuel pump. You can also check for spark but if you have no spark it wouldn;t even start or try to start.
put the van up on ramps in the rear, unbolt gas tanks straps, hopefully u take gas out before, take clamps off filler neck and pull big and small hose off let tank down slow and disconnect wiring plug and fuel lines to pump then pull tank out from under van. very carefully unscrew big washer that holds pump in, put in new pump and reassemble the way you took it out, good luck, remember be gentle with fuel lines and wiring
grey wire is power to your your fuel pump when cranking, however they had problems with the connector at the fuel pump and you may need to replace the pump. hope this helps, leave comment.
remove the negative side of the battery first put the back end of car on jack stands and secure the front end so it does not roll take a floor jack and a piece of board so you don't put a hole in the gas tank and remove the straps that hold the tank and lower it be careful not to break the wires on the top of it and then you can remove the center ring and then the fuel pump will come out
go to www.motorcraftservice.com then click on the owner guide and put in your truck information
then choose the 1st owner manual printing and should be between page # 184 to 200.
