There will be two more behind the carpet.... just peel it back and you will see them... make sure that you manage to look closely at the carpet before pulling it away because it is "tucked" in just so. This will help you get the light out!!

Need to change out a broken tail light cover for a 2002 mercury sable

Replacing tail/brake/turn signal/backup lamp bulbs (page 59-60 of owners manual)

Sedan

The tail lamp, brake lamp, turn

signal lamp and backup lamp bulbs

are located in the same portion of

the tail lamp assembly. Follow the

same steps to replace either bulb.

1. Make sure headlamp switch is in

OFF position and open trunk and

remove two plastic mushroom nuts,

three push pins and the plastic

cover from inside the trunk to

access the lamp assembly.

2. Carefully pull the carpet away to

expose the lamp assembly hardware.

3. Remove four nut and washer

assemblies and the lamp assembly

from the vehicle.

4. Remove the bulb socket by

rotating it counterclockwise, then

pulling it out of the lamp assembly.

5. Pull the bulb from the socket and
push in the new bulb.

6. Install the bulb socket into the lamp assembly by rotating it clockwise.

7. Install the lamp assembly on the vehicle with four nut and washer

assemblies ensuring the washers on the nuts are flush with the body to

prevent water from entering the trunk.

8. Carefully push the carpet back in to place and install the plastic cover
inside the trunk with three push pins and two plastic mushroom nuts.

My tail light is out over the license plate on my 1993 buick park avenue. How do I get to it to change it?

There will be 6-10 retainers (sometimes they are 10mm nuts and sometimes they are plastic speed nuts) holding the whole lens assembly to the trunk lid. Once those are removed you will be able to remove the lens assembly and access the bulb. There are six bulbs all together, two for the license place and four tail lights (not including the reverse lights) and they are part number 194. I usually recommend replacing all six while you have the lens removed from the trunk.

I need to change the brake and tail light on my 1996 toyota corolla . I would need a manuel on that please.

The steps to replace the brake light bulb on a 1996 Toyota Corolla:

The bulb needed is type 1157. After opening the trunk you need to remove the trunk liner on the side (right side for this example)where the brake light bulb is out. The plastic capture grommets hold the liner in place. Once the grommets are removed there is a nut (10mm) that is a bright brass-like color. This needs to be removed. Then on the outside of the trunk on the tail-light lens left side there are two nuts black in color (10mm) they need to be removed. Now the fun starts .... you needto slide the whole assembly back. You will note two black plastic posts on the rear quarter-panel, do not remove these ... these are used to hold the tail-light assembly in place since on the inside of the tail light assembly there are two rod-like protrusions that slide into these brackets. So.... remove the screws and wiggle the assembly back and it "should" slide back so that you can get at the bulb socket hat you twist to remove from the assembly. Now the bulb is visible and you reverse the order of steps to get it all back together .... a miserable design!

Replace rear tail light bulb on a 2005 nissan maxima

Open the trunk, from the inside remove the side trunk liner (by removing the plastic tabs the liner can be pulled back). Once the liner is pulled back you will need to remove two nuts which secure the tail light in place. Once the two nuts are removed you can start pulling the whole tail light assembly out. There are two other tabs that secure the tail light in place which may give you some resistance but the light should come out without too much force once the two nuts are removed.
Once the tail light is out you can change whatever bulbs you need to.

Tail light bulb needs replacing

You must remove the cargo carpet lining from inside the trunk in the corner behind the taillight. Five nuts removed the sealed light assembly. Once removed, the bulbs are behind quarter turn sockets.

Need to replace tail light bulb on 1996 Buick Century

Inside the trunk, under the carpet behind the tail lights will be a whole bunch of small plastic nuts, running from one side of the car to the other. Take all of these plastic nuts off, and the whole tail light assembly will come off in one large piece. Find the bulb you need to replace, and reassemble

SOLUTION: HOW TO REPLACE REAR BULBS ON 2002 & 2004 BUICK LESABRE

Rear tail lamps for the 2002 La Sabre has eight nuts that hold the cover in place ( one piece-all acroos the back of the car). Do not remove the nuts for the lock, the cover sits in place and is not secured to the lock. Use a 10 mm deep well socket. remove the nuts and lift the cover to replace the burned out bulb(s). The bulbs are #194 or #198 (very small bulbs), not the 3057. It is easy to locate the burned out bulbs by putting the car in reverse and shutting off the engine and then put the ignition key in the accessory mode. The lights will light unless they are burned out. Simply pull them out and replace with the new ones and put the cover back in place and secure the nuts.
