I recently had the solenoid on the trans. replaced. Two weeks later the car died on the Highway and will not turn over or crank. When you turn the key every warning light in the dash comes on. Battery has been checked and is good. Fan and A/C buttons always blink for 15 minutes and then go out. This car has always had some mysterious trans. problem, stalls at high speeds, speedometer drops to 0 and then pops right back up, replaced all trans. and ignition sensors and switches. Gonna give it one last try before I torch it.

SOURCE: Engine runs rough after about ten minutes /idles really low

Just trowing some suggestions out there, but, I would check the idle air control valve (solenoid) or the throttle position sensor. If they check out then my last guess would be the map sensor or the vaccuum to the map sensor. Hope I was able to help. Best wishes.

SOURCE: 1997 Neon dies, starts after electric fuel pump relay swapped

Hello, I would assume this is your fuel pump inside your tank. I would first however do some basics like a general tuneup. For starters I would replace your spark plugs and wires, rotary cap and button and check your fuses. Run some injector cleaner through your system. You know quick simple cheap things before you get to the fuel pump inside the gas tank which can be kinda expensive. The warm up then dies can be caused by, "blownout or fouled," spark plugs. I hope this gives you a general direction in which to go. A sidenote is that coil packs do not normally run an igntion code and I for one do not like them becuase they are expensive.

SOURCE: 1999 Grand Voyager transmission not shifting into high gear

Do yourself a favor & get it scanned at transmission shop, or dealer & fixed as needed,(within reason) . Delaying it could cost lots of money. A rebuilt is about $1500-$2000.

SOURCE: My car keeps stalling after about 15 minutes

Fill the coolant & change the coolant sensor near the thermostat housing. The sensor is defective. This is a common problem with these engines. Do not overtorque the sensor. Max 14ft.lbs. Good luck!

2000 Mustang v6 dies in the middle of the highway less than 2 weeks after replacing alternator?

Are you saying it died because of battery or charging system? I've seen info that says generator rebuilders have a tough time with rebuilding ford generators. It's not uncommon for them to be faulty right out of the box. What testing have you done on your battery and charging system? Any applicable trouble codes? The problem might be something unrelated to battery and charging system. I mentioned the generator because you mentioned it.

88 chevy 2.5l, gets fuel will not start

An engine shut not backfire unless the timing is off, it has a burnt valve or an exhaust restriction. Since the crank sensor was the catalyst for the problem, I would again check it. It definately affects the timing for the fuel and spark

2002 Sable. Two weeks ago, it will crank but not turn over. Day or so later it started fine, ran well for a week then did the same thing. It has happened twice now, tried replacing the starter motor relay,...

Hi and welcome to FixYa!
This is commonly caused by a faulty starter solenoid. If the starter solenoid is faulty it tends to trip during operation. One good reason why it starts and sometimes don't. Have it replaced and you'll be good.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

I had a transmission flush done 2 weeks ago. 1 week later my \low traction light came on whenever I accelerated from a stop. Now 1 more week later my ABS and TSC lights are on. There is a little shudder as...

First, Iam not a fan of flushing a trans. Owned a trans shop years ago.
You may have caused some solenoid issues, with the clutch material and cooler sediment.
Work on the ABS,TSC issues. Wheel Speed Sensors may be going and just a coincidence, a couple weeks later.
Make sure the fluid is correct for your vehicle and at the correct level.
I pray you didn't go to one of the Quick Lube Franchises.

2002 ford ranger quit running on highway, pulled over tried to start but wouldn't crank over, starter just clicked like a dead battery. thought alternator died then drained battery. today jumped battery,...

If the starter is just clicking, then it is not,but if the starter is kicking the starter drive out,and that is the noise you are hearing then it might be,turn the crank pulley with a socket and ratchet ,clock wise,if it turns then this is not the problem, make sure the ground to the engine is good,if the ground cable has gone bad, this will happen.
