Don't know what you mean by "cut"?
If you mean does not disengage, then one would check if the adjustment was correct, either hydraulic or cable.
Noise is usually either the throwout bearing going bad if it is when you start pressing on the pedal, or the clutch slipping when it is under 2nd grear hard acceleration.

But whatever it is, sound is bad and don't drive it until fixed.
Adjustment is done by ensuring there is at least a half inch freeplay in the pedal, before there is any resistance.
Cables are adjusted at the firewall or clutch arm, and hydraulics usually adjust the pedal rod length.

Has the clutch been recently replaced ?????

Noise from fan cluths on Buick raineer 04 what can this be

Lamin, if your clutch sounds like an airplane, it's fully engaged, you need to replace it. If you already replaced it an you hear the common "tic tic tic", try replacing your fan clutch with a newer version OR have your software updated at the dealer, there is a TSB for it. Both problems are very very very common. While you're in there, replace your water pump. To make this job easy, cut a notch on the top of the shroud where the radiator inlet is.

Just replaced thermostat and now my fan clutch runs continuously

Kirkasmann, P1481 is most definitely your fan clutch, it's very common on our platform. Only wires to check is the connection on the drivers side shroud. You said replaced "again"?. I've had bad ones out of the box, or it would tick tick tick. Buy a lifetime warrantly fan clutch for this reason, plus it's easy to do (as long as you cut a notch in the top of the shroud where the upper radiator hose is).
