To fix this you need to put more air in tires. The sensors are INSIDE tire on the wheel. Bring your air pressures up to specs listed on drivers door and see if that cures your problem. If not, you'll have to replace defective sensor.

Just add some air to your tires. When you had the tires rotated, the technician may have adjusted your tire pressures causing the light to come on.

2005 Cadillac Escalade oil pressure temperature gauge keeps setting off alerts alarm gauge jumps from 0 to full & truck shifts hard while driving like its going to stop, like its transmission problem. All...

You need to start by getting a code reader and checking for trouble codes (DTCs) in order to figure out what's going on. As far as low tire pressure is concerned, batteries in the TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) sensors inside the rims have a fixed life - you will get warnings like this when the sensors need replacing, and if one has gone dead, you can expect the rest to follow soon.

My Cadillac devil 2004 is prompting me saying"tire monitoring sensor" isn't wiring or need to be replaced. I'm a do it yourself kind of guy is this something I can fix myself ? And what's my best plan

The TPMS monitors tire pressure and sends a signal to the Cadillac's computer when there is low tire pressure. When the tire pressure is restored, the Cadillac's TPMS should reset itself. However, if it does not, the TPMS light on the dash will stay lit. When this happens, you need to know how to manually reset the TPMS light and sensors.

Instructions

1 Press and hold the tip odometer button on the gauge cluster.

2 Wait until the display screen brings up the settings menu.

3 Release the "reset" button and press it again to scroll through various settings.

4 Keep pressing the "reset" button until you come to the TPMS setting.

5 Press and hold the "reset" button until the TPMS light on the dash resets.

Please let me know how to reset my low tire light

Hi,

This just happened to me again. Every time the tires are rotated the dealer fails to clear the light. Turn the key to the "on" position and press the button (the one along the bottom of the dashboard near your left knee). Then hold the button in until the light flashes 3 times. This resets the system. It's described in the owners manual if you have one.

Useful answer, thanks! One addition: On my 2004 Highlander I found that you have to push the under-dash button first to turn the pressure indicator light off. THEN, you push it AGAIN and hold it until it blinks three times in order to reset the system.

Just experienced on my 07 Avalon that you also have to check the pressure in the spare tire. All the wheels have the same sensor (including the spare) back to the warning system.

I hope this helps.

Good luck.

Changed right front tire now reads zero on dash light is on

Your tire pressure monitor needs to be reset whenever you change or rotate your tires...

1. check and make sure that your tires are inflated to the correct pressure

2. turn the ignition switch to the ON position. If the low tire pressure warning light comes on, push and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch (think the switch is in the glovebox, but not sure) until the warning light turns off and then release the switch.

3. now press and hold the tire pressure warning reset switch until the low tire pressure warning light blinks three times.

4. initialization is *not* completed until driving at the vehicle speed of 19 mph or over for more than one hour. the tire pressure monitoring starts when initialization is completed.

The check tire pressure light and ABS auto traction sensor light keep coming on. Tire pressure is good

The tire pressure monitor detects any changes in the tire inflation pressure. Therefore, it must initialize and store it in its memory if the tires or wheels have been replaced, re-inflated or the tires have been rotated. You should be able to re-initialize the system by following these steps:

1. check and make sure that your tires are inflated to the correct pressure

2. turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

Low air tire warning still on after new tires.

Push the Setup button three times, until your driver display says something like "Press Reset for system check".
Then push Reset. The system check will start, rotating through a series of checks.
About the fifth or sixth check will be the tire pressure. It'll say something like "Hold Reset if tires are OK". While that's up, hold the Reset button. After 3 or 4 seconds, the tire warning light will click off. You need to be ready for it, because you don't get very long.

Tire pressure light is on

You cannot reset them,Make sure that you check the pressures in the tires. The Infiniti Tire Pressure Monitoring System is designed to trip the warning light anytime the pressure in any of the tires drops below 29 psi. At 29 psi it really won't look like the tires are low. You could have one tire at 29 or 28 causing the light to stay on all the time. Check your pressures, set at 34 or 35 to be safe, or whatever pressure the tire is recommended to be. Not all infiniti vehicles with TPMS have the display that shows the pressure in each tire. If the pressures are above 29 psi, Then there could be an issue with one or more of the sensors. If you have the tires replaced you will have to have the sensors relearned at the dealer. Tire rotations do not require the same.

Just got a dash warning "SERVICE RIDE CONTROL."

On second thought I understand you meant the indicator said actually "service ride". This can apply to shocks, the air pump that levels the car, possible low tire and such. Again, a mechanic can read the exact problem with a diagnostic computer. Just keep on driving until you get tired of seeing the warning. Oh yes, the mechanic can reset the car computer and make the annoying warning go away.

How to retrain tpms after tire rotation?

I have a 2005 with tire pressure monitoring also and was surprised when I rotated the tires that the system continued to work O.K. The manual says the dealer must retrain the sensors to recognize the tires but so far mine seem to be working just fine.
Retraining probable requires digital readout box to reset the computer and unless you know someone who has one the dealer is probably your best bet.
