Hi, only a gess, when its cold it could be the cold start is not working, now I can't tell you where on the engine it is, but it is quit possibly the glow-plug wich helps to heat the diesel when engine is cold, hope this was some help all the best.
IS YOUR VEHICLE A DIESEL ONE OR PETROL? IF IS A DIESEL ONE CHECK FOR ANY GLOW PLUG (S) BLOWN. IF IS PETROL CHECK FOR A FUEL PRESSURE PROBLEM,COLD START OR AND TIGHT VALVES.
did you pre prime the fuel filter diesel engines dont like air pockets and the air pockets wont go away on there own did you use oem filter some filters are not built the same
hard starting in cold weather for a diesel is a sign of problem injectors or battery not full charged
take it to a specialist diesel shop for a diagnosis of the problem
Ones the diesel engine gets weak its thn a hard start!, becausea diesel engine mainly fires up on good compression, i guess its time for an engine overhaul .
