The fan motor on my 2003 GMC Envoy just stopped working totally after a few days of working sometimes. Any suggestions for what may be the most likely problem? Thanks, David

Try changing both of the cabin air filters (under glove box). Remove the insulation panel around the heater (4 screws) and the the door to the filter (1 screw). You will see the first filter, pull it straight down. The second filter is further towards the firewall/engine beside the first filter. You need to grab it, pull it towards you, and drop it down where the first one came out.

Worked great for me! Old filters were so plugged you couldn't see through them. Nobody will tell you they are in there. Filters were $20 (for both) at Napa.

Vents won't blow hot or cold air. Comes from defrost and feet when you put fan on.

It's the vent actuator, it moves the baffle that changes the direction of the air flow.
Here is a video of a broken vacuum hose that creates the same problem.

It could also be a failed actuator.

2011 chevymalibu ltz.air vents not blowing out air.

can you hear the fan blowing? If not the fuse may have blown for the blower. A water leak into the fan chamber can cause this.

Toyota Previa fan blows but no air.

It could be that; the FAN MOTOR works but the fan-wheel is not turning. This usually happens when the center spindle of the fan-wheel RUSTS and eventually loses contact with the actual wheel itself.

Ac is not blowing any air on acura rsx type s 2003

There is only one computer. Either the filter still has plastic wrap on it, or there is not air going through squirel cage on fan motor to the vents.

Air and heat not blowing air through vents

Either Your fan switch is burned out or you blower motor is no good, your blower motor is on the passenger side under the dash. Before you replace any parts you need to check your fuses and relays under your hood and in the car. Usually if your fan switch goes bad you will still get some air blowing thru the vents, so my guess would be blower motor, If its not a blown fuse or relay.

No air or heat blowing from vents

if the fan is blowing this could be a problem with the climate controll switch that changes the direction of air from floor to defrost to vents, some are vacuum controlled through a vacuum operated mechanism that opens and closes a door in the vents which redirects the air to different places.
