SOURCE: car want start factor security light flashing and

The factory security light will remain on - this is a standard feature indicating the car is dead.
First, unplug the hazard fuze in the engine bay (this will reset the ecu and remove the flashing)

Next, replace the battery with a new one (or one with proper charge) - keep in mind a small battery will not do anything for these cars, the engines require a lot to push them over (it isnt a honda)
*Make sure to clean the positive and negative battery cables from acid

Then just start it up :)

SOURCE: Wont start...not the battery. Tried to jump it.

There are a few thing that could cause this. It prob. is not your alt. you would still be able to jumpstart it. I would suggest having your starter checked first. You can have it tested at most auto parts stores for free. It will save you some $$$ if that is not the problem. hope this helps

SOURCE: 1989 vw jetta wont crank. replaced battery still wont start.

Ive got a Jetta 2 CSI and had the same trouble. I then discovered that my coldstart packed up, wich you cant even get at the agents anymore. So If you are in the Benoni area I can fix it for you for 'n reasonable price, and you won't have that trouble any longer. Mine is still starting by just touching the key. 0829484343

SOURCE: CAr stereo not working after battery jump

Doubtful, my guess would be fried. Does the unit get power?

Check the fuses, especially the one for car stereo. If that's not blown you'll need to put the head unit and check the fuse either on the 12V power wire or on the wiring harness or on the back of the actual unit.

I've seen that same thing done several times and usually the damage is more drastic, consider yourself lucky.

Why won't it start?

Hi,
It sounds like your battery doesn't have enough of power to start your vehicle up. It will click like that when the battery power is extremely low. I would suggest taking the battery to be tested first before buying a new battery. Many times when you try jumping it off of another vehicle and the battery is extremely low, it wont put enough of power out from the other vehicle to start it up with. You can also try letting the car stay on to charge the other battery up for around an hour and see if it may turn the car on then. If that doesn't help. then your battery may have bad cells in it and may need replaced. Hope that helps ya.

08 Chevy Cobalt wont start. Battery is good.?

Generally speaking, if the starter was dead it would not jump start.
Sounds like the key switch or the neutral safety switch.
You would need to know if the starter has power when the key is in the start position.

Trying to jump start 1993 suburban but wont start

It may be the park interlock switch. Try taking it out of park and putting back or try the neutral position if it starts you may have to replace switch. Hope this helps.

Tried to stall on me pulling out of driveway now wont start

the first thing i would look at is the timing belt, make sure it didnt jump or pop, but if car ran fine and you parked it and then it wouldnt restart then check the battery for full charge then if you try to start and the motor spins but wont start then check for fuel and spark.

Car wont start, acts like battery is dead. battery shows full charge. full lights, buzzers, etc. put it on charger-didnt start...cleaned cable connections-didnt start...tried to jump with truck-didnt...

Check the battery +12v power connection to the starter is in good order,
Check the ground connection between the battery negative and the engine/starter motor is robust and intact.
If no problem with above, replace the starter motor.

Camaro wont turn over

First, clean your battery cables with a wire brush so you know you have a good connection from your battery. If that doesn't do it, it's most likely your starter or selenoid.
