Hi i have a bmw e46 318i and in the morning u need to crank it a good few times befor it statrts after that she starts one shot

oxygen sensor maybe

is the key or fob battery good

if it is cranking over but not starting could be anything
fuel or electronic spark related

if the engine light on ..there will be fault codes
a 2105 kia sportage will need a diagnostic scanner to narrow down the no start problem

OK, long story but here it goes (hopefully the length will help with ... I hook the jumpstarter up to the battery, let it sit 1-2 minutes, then ... The AZ rep. tells me that my battery is at 9V and this is why my car .... Mein Auto: 2004 X3 2.5i ... If battery is original (2005) it is more than likely one cell has shorted out. Z4 starter motor and related problems.

I could not start my Z this morning after not driving it for the past 4 days because of the weather. All lights come on the dash including the head lights but it won't crank. ... If the starter is not cranking because of the battery being too drained .... BMW Z4 2.5i started slow and finally would make a clicking noise.

try to get a fuel pressure test or get it put on the machine to see if the
crank sensor or cam sensor is going bad.

Simple this happens many time either cransensor failed or came loose and is hitting the harmonic balancer. If this sensor fails you will crank and not start, another is cycle the key do you hear the fuel pump come on (it in the trunk area)

Every car needs a heating engine time specially when its cold, I recomend like about 5 to 10 minutes after you start engine and before you change from P to D. If you try to start the engine first time in the morning, it's cold outside and you immediately go on run you are going to have this trouble every time. Every engine has it's operational standard temperature a 5 to 10 minutes working engine, car stopped, may guaranty this standard temperature and optimal function conditions, and also keeps a longer life of your car.

It sounds like just a coincidence. I dont know what a GRR noise is supposed to mean. It either Cranks, No Crank, or it Cranks but does not Run. Just tow it to a qualified shop and find out what the problem is.

It sounds like the rod which goes from the key cylinder down to the slide switch has come loose. The rod is along the bottom side of the steering column (or insidie it). If you reattach the rod all should work again.

hi, it is posible that the crank shaft sensor is faulty, you will nead to have it checked by a good garage to confirm the starting fault.

remove the air filter housing from the throttle body, or if its mult-ported injection, remove the large air duct. Do this the night before. The next day, before cranking and having a spray can of carb. cleaner, spray a couple of shots of carb cleaner either into the large air duct, spray towards the engine, or if its single body injection, spray directly on to the throttle body.

Crank engine immediately, preferrably have some one else sitting in the car to start it after you spray.

If the car even tries to start, replace cold start relay.
