After starting my Chrysler town and country and when I release the ignition key back to run position the starter continues to run. I then turn off the ignition key and the starter still runs. The only way too stop the starter is to disconnect the battery. Help!

Solenoid isn't releasing. Replace starter and it'll most likely be the end of your problems

You will need to replace the starter and or solenoid as the starter drive is not disengaging the starter gear and power is constantly being fed to the solenoid. Don't drive the vehicle this way as the starter drive will burn up and possibly strip the starter gear which is a much more major problem to fix.

2005 town and country touring i want to disconnect the seatbelt warning light and chime?

1. Turn the ignition switch to the off position and buckle the seat belt
2. Turn the ignition switch to run (engine does not need to be running), wait for the seat belt light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds, unbuckle and rebuckle the drivers seat belt at least 3 times, ending with the seat belt buckled.
4. Turn the ignition key to the off position. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.

It can be reactivated by repeating these steps.

The alert will be deactivated but the warning light will continue to stay on will the belt is unfastened.

2002 Chrylser Town and Country. When we put the key in the ignition everything lights up like it should. You turn the key just to the on position and the the engine starts to turn over, but will not...

The Ignition Key assembly has a loose wire at the back. Remove it and fix the wires. The other possibility is that your Ignition Key assembly is faulty or damaged. Sometimes, if the wrong key is inserted, it could cause permanent damage of this kind.
These apply to all cars.

Vehicle Won't Start

The solution to this problem was simple, embarrasing and frustrating. The dome light was left on, and discharged the battery....enough to prevent the ignition from firing apparently. I did not suspect this, because the starter would turn the engine over very well, for a long time, and would do this repeatedly. In all my experience, I have never seen an engine spin that well and not start. According to the dealer, the voltage was too low for the ignition to work. While I do not know the exact threshhold where the voltage is too low to crank, I could have detected the condition by checking the voltage at the battery while cranking. It should have been significantly below 12 volts, indicating a low battery. The tow truck driver who picked it up simply used a portable battery to jump it off and cranked it with no problem. The symptom of the starter continuing to run after releasing the key is new technology with computerized controls, and is normal nowdays. You don't really notice this because the engine usually fires so quickly that it is undetectable.
