Use a deep well socket and extension, it lives by the distributor.

It's on the engine, right next to the starter, it has one wire going to it. You don't need to drain the oil. If the light is coming on, you may have bad seals in the oil pan, a fairly common problem, but replacing the switch is a good fisrt step.

It take a special tool to take the pump off. You can buy one at most auto-parts stores.

In my 2001 deville i allready change the pump,the sending unit change oil twice in one week ,add a lucas try mistery oil and when the car get hot the oil presure light come on at 650 rpm whem i am at...
They have connector/wiring issues. Look at the inside of the switch where the connector plugs in. If there is oil present replace the switch and clean the connector with brake cleaner. If no oil present look close at the wire and connector for any thing abnormal.

Hello, the sending unit is to the right of the oil filter adapter, it is behind the engine mount bracket, it is hard to see and difficult to access. You will need deep oil pressure sending unit socket. It has a electrical connector.

Im getting low oil pressure reading on my 95 cadillac deville.. what should I be looking to replace?
always start at the least expensive item. ths would be the oil filter. if its a double wall one,switch to a single. if this doesnt work,then test the oil sending unit. alot of the older caddys do this,and as long as you dont hear lifters tapping,i wouldnt sweat it.

I have a 95 Cadilliac DeVille 4.9 high idle , I have changed the ISC and new plugs, wires. Also have cleanded the carburator, what would cause this?
The tps and isc motor have to be set a certain way to work like they are supposed to. The voltage output of the tps must be set with the ics motor not contacting the throttle lever. Then the ics motor plunger must be at its highest setting and adjusted to the correct tps setting of that point. You will need to read a service manual to perform this operation and get the correct settings.

sounds like a bad mass air flow sensor. this sensor is located on the duct that connects to where the air filter goes, it should have one or two wires coming from it. Unfortunitly they are rather expensive so you will want to have someone with a computer hook up to your car and tell you what the exact problem is before you just go and poke around replacing expensive parts that do not need to be replaced.
