The thermostat is normally located in the aluminium elbow that the top radiator hose connects to. The elbow is usually held down by two bolts and it is only necessary to remove these to replace the thermostat. It may not be necessary to remove any hoses. Take care that the new thermostat is correctly located in its recess and the old gasketing has been completely removed and that the new gasket has a smear of gasket cement on it. While tightening the bolts, make sure that the elbow is seating evenly and not catching on the edge of the thermostat or you could crack the elbow.

I have a 96 acura tl i haved thermostat put on and vavle cover gasket but my antifrezze is leaking out from radiater but i still cant find the leak

Radiator has a top hose and bottom hose. If the leak is not coming from either of those, the radiator is leaking. Replace it. Radiators are not repairable....Mike

96 acura tl 3.2l is overheating+signals wont work

Start with the easy one (hopefully). You probably have to replace your turn signal flasher. It's located behind the dash, driver side of steering column in the relay block (just pull out to remove).
Your overheating problem: Are you losing coolant, or is the car just running hot? Any leaks, puddles?
Check the cooling fans to make sure they are kicking on as the engine temp rises. If not, you may have a bad switch that is not telling the fan to go on. If fan(s) are operating ok, check the thermostat. If it isn't opening properly, it could be the cause of the overheating. If you have a leak in the system, then when it gets too low, it starts to overheat. Many possibilities, So, let me know the answers to the above so I can help further if needed.

Cooling system problem

Had same problem with my 3.2L TL in 90C+ air temps last summer (2008). Dealership found an easy fix after much investigation - they hosed off debris that had built up on outside of radiator. No problems since, and the cleaning also revitalized the air conditioning which had been operating poorly.
