There are a few possible causes of the blocked fuel injector in your car: mechanical failure; electrical problems; damage caused by overheating; and the most common reason, blockage caused by grime. The best way to avoid injector problems is to take your car in for regular maintenance and use the occasional fuel additive specifically designed to keep fuel systems clean

Ok You Have good connection to the ECM but did you check to see if you have good connection from ECM to the injectors or do you have signal from ECM going out to the injectors? Just because you have power going to the ECM doesn't mean it is good, when you read the resistance on the ECM all you did was verify that your coil in the injector was good, it did that the ECM was good. Sounds like you need to replace the ECM if you decide to replace the ECM be sure that you grounding paste/Thermal Paste when you do because if you do not your will fry the ECM in a very short period. But also remember that you can buy a brand new one and it not be good, which is why there is the warranty on the automotive parts you purchase at the auto parts store..

On my 89 Camaro TBI V8 305 I am only getting fuel from one of the injectors. I am only getting power to the driver side of the fuel injectors.

Sounds like the injector wiring harness is bad. I would check for voltage at the plug and chase the wires to find the short(open wire) in the harness.

I have a 1989 iroc camero that will not start.it has a throttle body carb and is a 305.the fuel pump works fine.the car will start if you prime it,but otherwise it wont fire at all.it has power on one wire...

Although you Say the Fuel Pump is Fine, What you Discribe is A NO FUEL Problem If it Starts When Priming and Does Not Without Prime this IS a Fuel Pump Problem NOTE: If you HEAR the Fuel Pump this only Indicates that the MOTOR that Drives the Fuel Pump Works , A Fuel Puessure Test Will Determine if your Fuel Pump In FACT DOES Work.

1985 iroc tpi 305 can the fuel pressure be adjusted! i bought it used and it runs good but backfires and the exaust smells badly of gas has a new o2 and map sensor on it.

If it is fuel injected, the fuel pressure regulator is most likely the problem,if it is carbureted the mc solenoid could be the problem,or carburetor needs rebuilding.

IF THE TIMING MARK ON THE HARMONIC BALANCER CAN BE SEEN THRU THE TIMING TUBE, IS THIS THE CORRECT TIMING SETUP FOR THE 305

no. if it is a tbi then you will need to set initial timing at 6 degrees before tdc and if it is a tpi then it needs to be 10 but i like it more on the 8 or less side. but by the book it is 10 degrees before tdc. also if you have the tpi there is the brown wire that needs to be un plugged (spoot connector) up at the firewall in the main harness on the pasanger side while setting timing. it stops the computer from advancing the timing so it can be set correctly.

please ask any more question you have i will be glad to help. i own 4 iroc-z28
