SOURCE: isuzu rodeo sport 4wd, stuck in 4wd
Don't know if this will help with your exact problem, but I can share with you how I have "fixed" this.
If the 4WD indicator is flashing, then it means the 4WD select switch is working but the 4wd "clutch" hasn't released. Backing the vehicle up slowly, or sometimes just switching into reverse with the 4WD switch in the 2WD position is usually enough to release the 4WD and the 4WD indicator should go off. It after all this, the indicator still does not go off, it could be some issue with the electric 4WD clutch not releasing.
You should be able to tell if the 4WD drive is still engaged by driving slowly in a circle. On drive pavement, the front wheels will "hop" around. Don't do this too fast or too often on drive pavement, since the part time 4WD was not meant for this. The front wheels have to be able to slip in relation to each other, when in 4WD.
Hope this helps and wish you well in your troubleshooting.
SOURCE: 2000 Honda (Isuzu Rodeo) Check Engine Light ? 4 Codes, Misfire/Throttle/EVAP ?
Hi Jack,
I am not an expert and I don't have the codes in front of me with the meaning but I can offer some advice and hopefully it will solve your problem. First keep the print out of the codes and take it/them with you. Have someone check the oxygen sensor. It's possible that all of the codes you are getting lead up to the computer (electrical issue). I sure hope this helps. Good luck and let me know how things turn out.
SOURCE: reduce power and check engine lights on
reduced power usally points toward a gas pedal to throttle correlation meaning the drive by wire system is where the problem is
SOURCE: What part is needed on an 03' Rodeo that trouble
P1290 = Elec Throt Control Particulate Bank 1
Idle, This means you could have a problem with your throttle body. You
will need to monitor your tps sweep on a scan tool to check for spikes.
Sometimes this code is set when the battery is disconnected and resets adaptations.
If it keeps coming back, you
most likely have a bad TPS sensor.
I hope helped with this (remember rated this help). Good luck.
SOURCE: diagnostic code for isuzu rodeo p1125,p1295, and
P1125 is: Throttle Positioning Sensor intermittent.
P1295 is: Multiple faults on bank 1 (right)
P1550 is: Power steering pressure sensor out of self test range.
Well the ECM recognizes 3 codes. Were these codes stored as inactive (in the history section)? Or are these codes all active? Code P1125 and P1295 may be related but P1550 is separate. How else may I help?
