I am a liecenced mechanic. Start addressing your problem by checking the brake light fuse in the main fuse panel. See the owners manual for location. Main one is under the hood. Secondary panel is on the passenger side kick panel area or in glove box. Replace the fuse if blown. If fuse is o/k check brake pedle brake light switch adjustment. If switch is adjusted properly, check rear brake light bulbs next. If they are o/k check for power at the bulb socket with a 12 volt test light with brake pedle depressed. Light should light. If it does not replace brake light switch and check operation. If problem is not repaired buy a repair manual or bring to a technition for diagnosis.

How can I turn off the rear parking lights

Normally all parking lights are controlled by the light switch. First turn turn on the parking lights and second turn turns on the head lights.

Tail lights work but break lights do not work

Chack the break light switch which on my car is on the break tank. There should be 2 wires going to the switch. If you short them out and the lights work then replace break light switch.
It might be the earth connection to break lights. If there is an earth lead remove clean and replace. Then give the connection a coat of paint.

Please help.I have a 2005 Dodge Caravan. When I start the van the rear break lights would turned on automatically. When I step on the break the lights stays the same,no indication of breaking from the rear...

You have a bad break switch. It is located under your dash, above your break pedal. The stem of your break pedal, when pushed down, activates the break switch. When you push, the break light comes on. It is chrome looking. It is a round cylinder. That should fix you up. If you need anything else, please let me know. Thank you for choosing FixYa.

Tail break lights don't work. Window break light does work however. Bulbs have been replaced.

Check the brake light fuse. The high mounted brake light (third brake light) is on a different circuit than the brake lights. Hope this helps.
