I have purchased a BMW X5 6 months ago and the blue tooth connection seems to be faulty. The problem is that when the kit is on handsfree, the outgoing line from the car is hardly understandable at the other end, mostly when driving but also often when the car is not driving. The incoming line is ok. The garage have allready changed microphone, units, and the problem still remains.A gentleman from BMW Belgium has been looking into the problem and thought it was my phone (a nokia 6310I ) but I also have an IPHone that has the same problem and we tried other phones, also same problem.I swapped my phone into my wife's BMW (120) and works perfect. The BMW expert now finalised by telling me it';s the SUV vehicle causing the problem. So actually what he says is don't purchase a X5 or X6 from BMW if you want to use the handsfree kit!! For me this is a **** explanantion. I am now wondering is this is a common X5 problem know to other X5 drivers?

SOURCE: 2004 Acura TL front end problem

You may not need the entire strut, just the part that serves as a shock absorber. The term strut refers to a complete assemby with coil spring and a central shock absorber. When their seals fail completely, whether gas or fluid filled, they are just a piston in a cylinder with nothing to damp their travel so they can slam at both ends.
American made 'shocks' were once only really effective for ~20k miles but both foreign and domestic have improved a great deal but one of yours may have left the factory less than perfect.
Shop the parts before you let the car go to anyone to see if they are scalping you or only marking their cost up a little.

SOURCE: bluetooth/radio stopped working

In first instance try to disconnect the unit from the mains and reconnect 15-20secs later 8 times out of 10 it helps. otherwise you might need to reprogram the unit processor which is more complicated and requires knowledge and understanding of electronic principles, assembler, also some devices to perform the task.
Otherwise I'm not sure about exact model of your ECU (computer) but in some cases it also gives the access to reprogrammable radio unit, so in this case laptop, one simple program (u can find it as free downloadable .exe file) and special diagnostics cable wuold sort everything out. But as I said not all ECUs offers such an option. And if you'll go for this step you need some knowledge about electronics and soldering as you'll have to build the cable I mentioned, as tu purchase one would be quite painfull for your vallet.

Hope it helped although if you need any further information just drop a line here.

SOURCE: BMW convertible (325ic) E36 will not start-security system

security systems simply get between the key and the engine. The wire that is your engine run circuit is cut and and rerouted through the alarm module. Find this alarm module, find the two wires that have the same color code that are spliced into the two wires off the nodule. At this point, Do'nt cut them, jump them to each other and see if it will start. Alarm systems work on the time, pressure theory. In truth , the alarn wiring is stpid and simple. The secret is to put pressure on the thief by limiting the time he has to locate the wiring and bypass it by making alot of noise and flashing lights. Take your time and you can find and figure out which wires were cut and soliced into the module. If you have any questions, let me know.@ [email protected].

SOURCE: Bluetooth problems BMW car and Nokia N97

I'm afraid I can't solve your problem, but you're already one step further than I am: I have a 2004 E60 (525d touring) and it won't pair at all, the N97 doesn't even SEE the car's bluetooth. And my previous Nokia E61i paired, but never transferred the contactlist.

Using an FM radio transmitter that plugs into a cigarette lighter socket, you can bluetooth, USB, SD card and Handsfree mobile depending on the unit purchased.

Blue tooth

Jealous of your car but besides that. Could you tell me the steps your going through to connect it to your car. Not some blackberries are picky (most) on what they connect to. If the blutooth in your car doesn't resemble a headset etc it may never connect.
