SOURCE: horn will not work 2000 tahoe z71, how do I remove

This has an air bag more than likely. Do not attempt to remove the steering wheel unless you know what you're doing!!! That goes for what you call the "cover". It's a mini bomb in side & if you mess up it goes off in your face. I have 17 years as an auto-tech,trust me. Take it to a shop, don't mess with it. But if you want to be dangerous, the bolts are on the back of the wheel. I'll send flowers, lol.

SOURCE: 2006 Tahoe Z71 Rear door will not unlock

The rear door lock/actuator assembly has failed and will need to be replaced. I had one in the shop recently and my tech had to remove the inside trim panel and manually open the rear hatch before it could be repaired.

SOURCE: Why is my fuel gauge on my 2000 chevy tahoe moving

you are probably correct. there are two contacts on the level sensor that wear out, which gives you the fluctuating gauge.

SOURCE: replaced rear main seals and oil pressure sending on a 2000 z71

Check the oil filter housing and the cooler lines at the housing. The oil filter housing gaskets are good for no more than 15k to 30k miles if your lucky. The lines at the housing are easy to strip out when you reinstall them so take your time if you do it yourself an once you are finished and ready to start the truck, let it run for about 15 minutes and constantly check the area for leaks prior to road testing the vehicle.

Do i need a special tool to remove the rear wheel bearing on a 2000 chevy suburban # 1500?

yes, after the rear axle is removed you have to use a large slide hammer with a special attachment on the end to get it out and the proper bearing driver to install the new one they are a very tight press fit into the housing

Will a meyer unifit plow bracket off a 1999 chevy 1500 4x4 pickup truck fit on a 2000 chevy tahoe z71?

It should fit. You might have to notch some holes in the bumper cover but it should line up with the frame.

My 2003 Z71 Suburban's rear springs are getting worn out. Is there anywhere I can go to get new springs other than the dealer? Would the front springs from an Express 2500 fit?

2000 Silverado L/T Z71 4X4 Lubrication Diagram

Lube points should be: All moving joints in suspension. Ball joints, idler arm, tie rod ends etc. On 4X4's, all universal joints on drive axles (excluding C/V joints... just inspect boots) All slip-joints and "u" joints on driveshafts. Many of these items may not have zirk fittings on them from the factory. If the component has a plug installed, it should be removed & replaced with a fitting. If there is no place for a fitting, when the item wears out, the replacement will have a fitting.
