New spark plugs, oil and oil filter, transmission flush and fill, fuel filter, air filter, coolant flush and fill, clean throttle body plate and bore, clean the MAF sensor, replace any loose or cracked vacuum lines, PCV valve, new air filter, new battery.

99% of the time all you should ever need for a tune up is new spark plugs, and a clean air filter and throttle body. But since your inquiry indicated "major" I gave it more critical thought.

A full engine tune up generally consists of the following:

Air Filter
Fuel Filter
PCV Valve
Oil & Filter Change
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires

Changing the oil and filter every 3K miles or so is the most important routine maintenance task. The other things at least every 30K miles.

Depending on the mileage, a tune up really consists of new spark plugs, air filter and check and change fluids as needed. If you have over 100k on it, I would suggest new plug wires too. Check the throttle body to see if there is carbon build up. If your vehicle is running good then just change plugs and air filter.

I have a 2004 chevy trailblazer and I just had a major tuneup and now when I try to turn da heat on the whole truck just turn off what, could b wrong

One thing that was not done on your "major tune up" was the cleaning of the throttle body. These engines cause grime build up on the throttle body and plate which affects air flow. Make sure your mechanic cleans both the front and back sides of the throttle body, and disconnects the battery while the cleaning is done to allow the computer to reset.
