Remove the upholster on the door panel. then, loosen the bolt of the window mechanism..and also the bolt of the track of the window, so you can put the window back on its track. then, you can stabilize it by looking for the right adjustment of the mechanism.

SOURCE: How do you remove the door panel for a 2001 sonata

If memory serves, 2 screws on the left edge facing the striker, 2 screws on the front edge facing the headlight, 2 screws on the bottom edge, 1 screw behind the door handle cover, 1 or 2 under the arm rest, and don't forget to remove the quad cover at the front edge of the window so you don't break it taking off the panel.

Window off track on front passenger door 2008 hyundai sonata. How do I get it back on?

Getting it back on track isn't as important as discovering and rectifying the reason it came of in the first place. Often it means removing the window, the tracks and winding gear and refitting with appropriate and copious amounts of lubrication, dabs of adhesive and correct adjustment.

The window on the drivers side door came off track about halfway down. for right now I just want to put the window up instead of having tape over the open part. Its a 1998 hyundai sonata

Simnilar thing happened on our 2003 Sante Fe. A bolt came off the lifter that holds the glass in place. Take the door panel off (about 1/2 dozen screws - some of them under a little plastic tab for looks - just pry off the little button in the center to expose the screw) and you can probablyn see the problem or at least place the window back on the track. Once you take the panel off you will probably need to unplug some of the electrical (door lock and window conrtrols) but they will just plug back in easily when you are done.

How to repair power window cables that are off track on a 2002 ponatic grand prix

Unfortunately repair is something that cant be done without a lot of reworking and is cheaper to replace the window regulator when it goes bad. still not a bad procedure and some of the replacement regulators come with new clips for your door panel which i would recommend replacing for a nice fit back.

Windows

I just had the same problem and took the panel off by taking all the screws out. Some are hidden behind black covers including one behind the door handle. My problem is now getting the door panel back on to the door. Haven't figured out how it goes back on.
