Just got a battery 3 weeks ago. went to the store today & truck wouldnt start. i turned the key & the dash light wouldnt come on. & of course the truck wouldnt turn over. what is the problem?

You have a faulty ignition switch relay. It's responsible for using a low voltage signal (key in start position) to send full battery power to your starting circuit.
Check the make sure the battery connectors are connected. Sometimes the cable comes loose from the battery. Check your battery see if a jump will start it. If it does it could be your battery.
Sounds like an antitheft problem I would start with the antitheft system. Usually when you only have one key all keys have to be programmed together even the original. When you have more than one it is easy to program additional keys.
If the security light is flashing when that happens, you need to turn the key to the ON position, and let it sit for 10 minutes, so it can reset the security code. Start it up as normal and let it idle for 5 minutes.
