1999 Chrysler Sebring convertible - only hi speed option still works - where is resistor and/or blower motor and how to fix

Bad connection at heater box under to hood

sounds like a blower resistor. usually it is on the passenger side under dash near blower motor and hvac box. the resistor add resistance to the circuit to slow the blower motor, if it is inop then you only get high speed.

You most likely need a blower motor resistor it reduces the amount of voltage to blower motor but is by passed on high speed

Sounds like you have a bad blower motor resistor. The resistor is located near the blower motor under the passenger side of the dash. The resistor uses a series of resistors to drop voltage which makes the blower run at different speeds. High speed bypasses the resistors and allows full voltage to the blower motor.

it is your blower resistor.It is mounted by your blower motor.

open the glove box,remove the plastic glove box stopper,then remove the glove box,the blower motor resistor is held by two screws .

Hi, have your blower motor fuse checked, if ok, check blower motor resistor.

Sounds like it in the switch or the electrical plug at the switch.The electrical plug could be burnt and need repairing or replacing. Need to remove the dash fascia, Careful not to damage clips. If the cover has no visible screws or bolts, then it clips into place. Unbolt heater controls and pull contol forward. Not a fun job but with patience you should be ok.
