When I lock and alarm my Jaguar S-Type 2004 2.7 Sport Deisel a beeping alarm goes off after a while for no reason. It is not the horn and lights alarm, but a beeping alarm that goes off only if I unlock the vehicle. This is the only way I can stop it. I've checked windows, doors, boot and bonnet and they are all closed. I cannot activate this alarm by rocking car or other method... it seems to go on by itself every few minutes when switched off and rearmed.

The beep sound you hear is normal on some luxury cars. Its a proximity alarm and warns that it is armed. I've seen these on Mercedes, Bmw and Jags too. Id like that on my car because it beeps every 5-10 seconds interval.

SOURCE: replaced remote battery and alarm system wont activate

That is a REALLY INTERESTING problem you have. Let me get this straight.... The remote WILL lock the doors, BUT WON'T OPEN them? If that's the case, take the vehicle into Hyundai and have it daignosed - WIERD problem.

SOURCE: car won't start, turn the key and nothing happens.

hi, try disconecting the battery for a couple of hours and try again but make sure you have your stereo code. if this does not work your key fob may be out cync with your ecu and will require reprograming it is easy on x type , you can do it your self ,you can find the instructions in jag forums or ebay for 1.99

My 2005 Jeep liberty horn blows for no reason last night at 3 am it went off and the only way i could get it to stop was disconnect batt

double posted. wow.
when it beeped, did you look in the display (RPM)
it tells you why?? the VFD or EVIC tells you why.? (rpm dial)
do you park with the alarm on , on the street or a garage?????
if in a garage park and turn alarm off. it does turn off the alarm.
did you bump the panic button?
eg its under your pillow?? LOL or the cat chewed it?
read your other post, it's got lots of answer there.
to find cause.
if the horns stays off, if alarm is off then its not the horn button.

as many will say. there are 4 things that run the horn.
button horn
alarm
door locks.
panic.(part of alarm but not totally)
on my car, i have most themn turned off, like the lamp flashings.
and the horn chirp is off on all my cars, all i get is the door lock click sounds, nice (neighbor friendly)
so turn all all that and see if the horn still fails.

that panic button can fail,
if mind did id pull the fob battery and then use FOB 2.
to see of the FOB fails.

your other post said driving
this one says, parked. 3am clue.

Alarm keeps ringing all the time

Hi, some jags are fitted with dual alarms, is your alarm sounding through the main horns and flashing the lights? or are you getting a loud beeping noise.
If its beeping then its the Passive alarm system. you need to say what one it is, I am asumming its the original alrm and not aftermarket.

Is there some way to lock a Jaguar 2004 X-type without using the remote entry control?

Sounds like you may have anouther problem, the horn should only 'peep' if you have left something open, like the boot (trunk), a rear door etc. In normal circustances the horn should not sound.

2004 Olds Silhouette - electric door locks lock on their own

Most likely your alarm system needs reset. When you use the button to turn the alarm on and off the horn beeps and lights flash. Horn beep when switch turned on, makes sense would be in the alarm system with all you've told.

Jetta no longer makes beeping sound when locked.

try honking the horn normally with horn button <key must be on> if horn works it is in the programing for comfort and convieniance system if no honk it's just the horn or wiring to horn.
