I had the brake pads replaced and the rotors turned on my 1999 Lexus Ls 400 about 3 years ago. After a few months, the front brakes began to squeal very loudly. It only squeals when stopping from a slow speed, such as moving in line at a drive-thru window. I took it back to the shop, and they couldn't determine the solution to the problem. In June of 2010, I had the brakes completely redone by a different shop and insisted on pads from a Lexus dealer. About 2 moths ago the same squealing started again. I took it back and the mechanic said that there was a large build up or brake dust on the rotors. They cleaned it off and soaked the pads in some kind of conditioning fluid. The brakes were fine for 2 weeks but now are squealing again. What could be causing this. Thanks for your help.

The cause of this in my opinion is that the rotors were not turned correctly the first time.
and at this point in time it is my suggestion that you replace the rotors and the pads all with NEW -- and this will fix your problem for good.
my next suggestion is to not go to the same mechanics that tried to fix it already. fine a new one.
in fact -- buy all the parts yourself and take them down to the brake mechanics ( or just a good well known shop mechanic ) and have them install the rotors and pads for you --- it will take 30 minutes ( or less ) and you for a fact know now that the problem is fixed and done right.
I have had bad rotor turns from shops and ever since my first bad run with them --- I just pay the extra 10 dollars and buy new rotors ( if the pads ever wear down that far to ruin the rotors -- which on my vehicle they dont -- it is always on my girlfriends car :-) ).
get NEW and you will be trouble free.

Mechanic says I need motor mounts and front brakes transmission fluid changes

Motor mounts- so the engine won't vibrate so bad at high speed; Front brakes pad? you can check by yourself, or asked them to show you how much pad left. For brake rotors, you can just re-surface it (about $30 each); Transmission fluid - you can just drain and fill (about $40).

I have a 1992 Lexus LS 400 with traction control and a mechanic said the traction control is causing the front brakes to grab at all times and turning the traction control off doesn't work, I also removed...

traction control is for control of the traction of the drive tires
Tale it to a professional brake shop for a proper diagnosis
grabbing brakes is more likely no brake pads and / or damaged rotor discs

if you had brakes and rotors 6 months ago,did you do just front or just rear?
if you did front and squeal is in front, the new pads got hot and it glazed them, but the rotors are you pulsating pedal, are you sure they did rotors and pads?
there is no way this should be happening in 6 months.

How do i reset brake ware indicator on my 1999 lexus ls400

The brake wear indicator is a small metal stone-like sensor that attaches to the brake pad. Once the pad wears down to a certain level, it begins wearing into the sensor, breaking the circuit open.

Once the light has come on, the appropriate sensor (front or rear) must be replaced to return functionality.
Factory brake pads usually come with new sensors. Aftermarkets do not, and often have no provisions for attaching them either.

Alternately, you can bypass the brake level sensors by splicing the two wires for the sensor together. You will no longer have brake level warnings if you do this however.

Rear brake pads are worn on 1999 lexus rx300 would like factory part number to find factory parts at cheaper price, other than dealer

You won't get factory parts cheaper but you can get after market parts that meet factory specification's You want semi metallic pads because they last longer and don't wear out the rotors as bad as lifetime composite pads do. Also don't get ceramic pads because they will squeal if you do not know how to set them properly. You will need to turn the rotors too and that can be done at any parts store that supplies the pads, also be sure to put anti squeal on the back side of the pads and put the metal plates on so you don't get noise from the brakes.

2005 Dodge Durango Front Brake Squeal

Did you buy factory pads or get cheap aftermarket pads? If aftermarket did you get the ceramic? The cheap aftermarket ones tend to squeal pretty bad. Like the last comment on here, you should have your rotors turned whenever you change the pads.
