The fuel filter is under pressure so you must be absolutely careful when changing the filter. If you do not release the pressure in a safe manner first, you will get sprayed with gas, possibly in your eyes or in my case shooting a 50 psi solid 3/8 inch stream of gas down my sleeve all the way to my arm pit in a matter of seconds. If you do not know how to change your fuel filter, for safety sake, I suggest having a mechanic do this. If you are determined to do this yourself, go to your local library to read the repair manual for your car. Library information is free. Mine is a 1991 Fleetwood, the filter is located on the frame underneath the passenger side. There are two connections, in and out. Plastic safety retainers hold the connectors on; remove the retainers one at a time. A half of turn and pull of the connector the hose comes off. A 10mm socket and extension to remove the retaining clamp. My suggestion is pay someone to do it or read up on how first, gas is flammable and you will be soaked in it, if you do not do things by the book.
