You can't get the codes if they were erased prior.

Then I would suggest a repair shop

It just requires basic sockets & wrenches

More metric than decimal, but you need both to

1994 cadillac deville is leaking power steering fluid onto the drivers side floorboard as fast as i can put it into the reservoir!

Hi,
The most likely cause of this is a leaking or severed hose or cracked power steering reservoir
WITH THE ENGINE OFF. I would get a good flashlight and locate the pump under the hood and closely examine the pump and trace the hoses from it.
I would go so far as to pull on the hoses to see if one is completely separated.
Something should show up.
I hope this helps.
Best,
Mark

Power steering pressure hose, I need to find out the location on a 1997 cadillac Deville

Follow the lines from the power steering pump to the rack and pinion. There should be a high pressure hose, and a low pressure return line.

I had the same problem with my 98 Cadillac Deville. I changed the power steering pump and the hose that runs to the rack. The problem was solved, loud noises and whining stopped.
