Dash panel lights are going on and off. Speedo needle is not completely lighting up. The area closest to center of needle is working but the tip and or end is not lighting up.

hi i would take a look at the inside fuse panel in case a multiplexer box is clipped on the back of int fuse panel u r cluster is missing power or ground in u honda manual under fuses it should give u description of function and a fuse number should point u in the right direction danny
Increasing the fuse amperage, not a good idea. Will eventually burn up your wiring. There must be a short somewhere. May have to pull dash cluster out and look for any burnt areas. If it is blowing a fuse that is supposed to handle 3 times the juice it should be visible. Having to look is the problem.
when i see the dash lights go out i think of the headlight switch and the dimmer that they usually have. Pull off the headlight switch and look for overheating, melted insulators on the wires.
Probably a break inside wiring loom of one/more of the three wires that eventually connect to the speed sensor on top of gearbox. The break I fixed in my 2003 Leon 1.6SX was in the loom under battery tray. My symptoms were no speedo working, and erratic fuel guage (particulary when under 1/2 full). I repaired one broken wire.
