I have a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT, the key fob doesn't work. I got battery checked, they're fine. Any ideas how to make the key fob work? It has an unlock and a lock button.

Try new batteries in the fob.

where are you, your key, in kitchen, standing near car, or in car or key inserted in the ignition, I will answer , IN KITCHEN.

the fob has a light. ok , Factory Fob, or aftermarket?

the car came with 2 fobs, new, so do both fail or act odd like this.
id bet not.
and the fob has and LED lamp , if it sticks on , that means'
the FOB is no good, the switches are stuck, ON.
time to buy a new FOB or get McGiver fix yours at x2 new cost.
you can also replace the battery and how that fixes it and or clean
the insides, of fob. at same time

the lamp flashes when the button is pressed.
so the button is stuck,, broken./

can you hear the starter click at all take a hammer and tap on the starter if that works then you know the starter is bad, if you are comfortable enough take out the battery and the starter and take them to your local autozone have them tested just because a battery is fully charged doesn't mean that it doesn't have a dead cell or 2. They can test the starter also

I looked up your ignition to assure MYSELF your
key ... is indeed a standard TRANSPONDER.
(no idea what country we are talking about...??)

That type of response SEEMS to be a SECURITY
response... As though ONE of your keys is in trouble...

(TRANSPONDER KEYS can be damaged & intermittent) ...

My best advice is to get on eBay and find yourself
a COUPLE of NEW uncut OEM key replacements...

Shop around and find out if you have a cooperating
locksmith who will cut and code the keys for you...

The BEST price I've paid was $6 per key cut...
The worst was $60..
(they ruined my OEM key and sold me a generic
(I felt it was deliberate.. my OPINION)).

IN ANY CASE: If you wait until the key goes bad a DEALER CAN GET (page 120, 3-10 owners manual)
from $300 to $600 for full key service AND that
IS NOT INCLUDING the tow charges.

Some cars allow you (the owner (nothing found))
to code the keys yourself...

but you CANNOT do it WITHOUT at least TWO (2)
WORKING KEYS...

Turn ignition to position two
Press lock or unlock once
Ensure indicators flash once to confirm reset
This will enable fob providing you have no other faults

check the battery or alternator it sounds like the alternator is not charging

Seriously don't use the factory alarm system / keyless entry.

While my car was under warranty, the alarm malfunctioned and it wouldn't disarm. The solution was to have the car towed to a dealership and install a new BCM. This would have cost me over $1,000 - and it's not an isolated case.

Don't get a Hyundai key fob. Have an after market alarm / keyless entry installed. It will be cheaper & easier.

From Tiburon owners manual: Er6 - DISC ERROR - CHECK IF THE DISC IS INSERTED CORRECTLY IN THE CD PLAYER.
MAKE SURE THE DISC IS NOT SCRATCHED OR DAMAGED.

I know there is no imoblizer on canadian modles not shure about american if there is that would be my first thing to look for
other then that you have changed alot of parts but have u checked any of the fuses or relays and dubble check that every thing is plugged in correctly if all that is good u have a wirring problem
