1998 ford taurus ova need firing sequance for spark plugs

It may have knocked the wires off the sensor behind the front harmonic balancer,check.

When the CEL flashes you can damage the catalytic converters. Usually their are multiple misfires. The most likely cause is ignition, spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coils etc.

Inspect the spark plugs for oil contamination and replace if you aren't sure.

maybe your plug going to the spark plug is bad or the distributor cap

The spark plug #6 is located on the cylinder head that is closest to the radiator and it is the one closest to the driver-side.Hope this helps,if you need anything else,let me know. Thanks,Chuck

you need the tool to take them out first. then you have leads that clip on to each one pull one off then unscrew the first spark plug then replace with new one then put the lead on that you took off. DO THIS ONE AT A TIME THOUGH AS THEY HAVE TO BE IN A SEQUANCE. and make sure they are spark plugs u want and not heater plugs that are on deisel veichals. if this helps please leave feed back thanks
