My passenger seat belt light won't turn off when unbuckled

Question moved from Spanish car company Seat category (pronounced See-At).

There is an electrical contact in the buckle assembly. Spray it liberally with electrical contact cleaner and operate the buckle and seat belt a few times. There is a very slight possibility it could be the connectors on the end of the wire.

Trying to find which fuse is for the heated seats on a 2004 ford explorer sports trak

Heated Seats
This system allows the electrical heating of the front seats on passenger demand.
The components of the system are:
  • the seat heating elements located in the seat cushion and backrest.
  • the heated seat control switch, located on the seat side trim panel.
  • temperature sensors located in the seat cushion heating elements.
  • heated seat relay.
Do both front seat heaters not work ? Do you know how to test electrical circuits with voltmeter ?
PINPOINT TEST J: THE HEATED SEAT IS INOPERATIVE Test Step Result / Action to Take J1 CHECK HEATED SEAT SWITCH OPERATION
  • Key in ON position.
  • Press the heated seat switch on the driver and passenger seats.
  • Are both heated seat switch indicators illuminated?
Yes
If both indicators illuminate, Go To Pinpoint Test K . If only one indicator illuminates, GO to J5 .

No
GO to J2 . J2 CHECK THE HEATED SEAT RELAY CIRCUITS
  • Key in OFF position.
  • Disconnect: Heated Seat Relay C3250 (located under the driver seat).
  • Key in ON position.
  • Measure the voltage at heated seat relay C3250-86, circuit 1003 (GY/YE), harness side and ground; and between C3250-30, circuit 566 (DG), harness and ground.
    s5r~tr~en~file=a0078817.gif~gen~ref.gif
  • Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?
Yes
GO to J3 .

No
REPAIR inoperative 1003 (GY/YE) or 566 (DG) circuit. TEST the system for normal operation. J3 CHECK HEATED SEAT RELAY GROUND CIRCUIT
  • Key in OFF position.
  • Measure the resistance between heated seat relay C3250-85, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.
    s5r~tr~en~file=a0078818.gif~gen~ref.gif
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
GO to J4 .

No
REPAIR circuit 57 (BK). TEST the system for normal operation. J4 CHECK THE HEATED SEAT RELAY
  • Install a fused jumper lead between heated seat relay 3250-30, circuit 566 (DG), harness side and heated seat relay C3250-87, circuit 1064 (YE/LB), harness side.
    s5r~tr~en~file=a0078819.gif~gen~ref.gif
  • Do both heated seat indicators illuminate when pressed?
Yes
INSTALL a new heated seat relay. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
REPAIR circuit 1064 (YE/LB) to switches. TEST the system for normal operation. J5 CHECK INOPERATIVE HEATED SEAT SWITCH INPUT
  • Key in OFF position.
  • Disconnect: Heated Seat Switch C320 (Driver) or C321 (Passenger) for the inoperative heated seat.
  • Key in ON position.
  • Measure the voltage between heated seat switch C320-2 (driver) or C321-2 (passenger), circuit 1064 (YE/LB), harness side and ground .
    s5r~tr~en~file=a0078820.gif~gen~ref.gif
  • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes
GO to J6 .

No
REPAIR circuit 1064 (YE/LB). TEST system for normal operation. J6 CHECK CIRCUIT 57 (BK) FOR AN OPEN
  • Measure the resistance between heated seat switch C320-4 (driver) or C321-4 (passenger), circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.
    s5r~tr~en~file=a0078821.gif~gen~ref.gif
  • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
Yes
INSTALL a new heated seat switch. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
REPAIR circuit 57 (BK). TEST the system for normal operation It's not that simple , being a fuse . It's probably the relay or the heating element .
PINPOINT TEST K: SEAT DOES NOT HEAT BUT THE HEATED SEAT INDICATOR ILLUMINATES WHEN PRESSED ? Does it ?
Your best bet would be to take to a qualified repair shop .

2003 ford escape drivers seat electric not working

If it isn't making noise, check the electrical connection. If its getting power it could be that the motor needs to be replaced. If it just hums when you try to operate it, the motor is either jammed or needs to be replaced.

Cant get power seat to move up or down

GO UNDER THE SEAT AND LOCATE THE POWER SEAT TRANSMISSION MAIN ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR, IT HAS 6 OR 8 HEAVY WIRES IN IT, WHILE OPERATING THE SWITCH FOR THE UP AND DOWN PROBE THE WIRES TO SEE IF ANY OF THEM FLASH THE 12 VOLTS TEST LIGHT WHILE OPERATING THE SWITCH, IF THEY DO THEN LIKELY THE SEAT MOTOR IS NO GOOD.

Electric drivers seat will only operate when

If it works well with the engine running, you may have high resistance on the circuit. If the plug is dirty or not seated properly, you can get this. The extra power from the alternator can give enough "oomph" to the seat to move when the car is running.
Otherwise, it sounds like the motor may be worn.
Try pressing it at different angles. My wife's XG300 only works if you press it a specific way. Maybe the hill causes you to hold it just the right way. Who knows?
Take a look under the seat and/or behind the plastic cover on the seat where the switch is and see if you can find any loose or dirty connections.
I wish you the best with that!

Ford Mustang '95 Electric Seat

you have to replace the seat frame rail asy. It comes with new motors. I would check the switches for proper power & operation anyway, but having owned & repaired this myself , I am sure you need the whole assembly. P.S. this is a somewhat involved replacement. remove the seat, remove the rail/motor assembly & replace. reinstall to seat then to car

I have a 98 Volvo S90. The electric seats occasionally stop working, then start for no apparent reason. Is there a common fix? Is there a way to manually operate the seats when this happens? My wife is...

Try running the seats back and forth for their FULL travel. Electrical motors do not like sitting so much. Also get some white "lithium grease" NAPA has the best for about 8.00 with tax. Spray the grease onto the tracks. The motors can use a shot of a lighter medium. Try spraying and running the seats all the way front and all the way back 5 times. Do this once a week after that. This should help your seats to operate all the time.
