The stering istshacking like it is about ready to have a blow outt

There is no warning light for catalytic converter heating uo. Brake light usually is a exclamation mark inside a circle inside parentheses. What you are describing sounds more like a temperature warning light for the cooling system.

ALL FORDS WILL DO THAT THERE IS NO BY PASS IN GEAR BOX OR RACK , WITH ENGINE OFF THEY WILL OVER FLOW. ONLY FORD SORRY TO SAY YOU FIX IT BUT IS ALL THE SAME ..

Under braking? Have calipers inspected. They may be binding on the slides.

sounds like you had to jump start the car when you jump them the fuses blows for the electric assist motor there in the under hood fuse box i think they are pink large square

make sure the belt tensioner is good. but that wont turn the engine light on. you may have other problems.

Did you get the snap ring off the bottom? They get pretty rusty but it's still there.fill the pump with fluid, start the engine and bury the wheel all the way right or left. the pressure in the box will blow the seals out. be ready for a mess...

your power steering pump has a cap on it.you have cold mark and hot mark.when car is cold engine not running.when you remove power steering cap it should be on cold mark.if not add until you get to cold mark on cap stick..dont over fill or you blow the seal.now when engine is hot been running.turn off car check.power steering cap should read full hot.mean level is correct.when you first check power steering fluid and it was real real low.you got a leaking high pressure hose.or power steering pump seal is leaking.if all check out good.your problem could be low tire pressure.worn ball joints.and tie rod ends.rack and pinion steering gear binding.

check fluid level .check for leaks check hoses for restriction.if all is good your pump is almost ready for replace ment.

it might be a fuse under the dash. if not it might be in the stering weal, if you have an air bag take to the prowes, if not you should be abel to fix this your self it can be a tab or the wire in the stering weel.
